The Indiana Pacers are trading Buddy Hield to the 76ers for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Interesting. Not sure it is going to be enough to keep them afloat.

I personally think Embiid is done for the season.

That's a steal for Philly.  I'm surprised no other contender could beat that.

That's an upgrade for the Sixers but it doesn't mean much without Embiid on the court.

The #Sixers got Buddy Heild from the Pacers in exchange for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz, Toronto 2nd 2024, Portland 2nd 2029, Clippers 2nd 2029 and $1.5M in cash, according to a league source:

I figured Indiana viewed themselves as a contender with a healthy Halliburton and the newly added Siakam.

Would think keeping Hield would help them make a run this year.

Agree. This is a bit of a surprise for Indy.

I don't think the Pacers are contenders this year. A fun team but they need a couple of years... and some defense...

Weird move for Indy.  Hield's an expiring, but they didn't get much value for him.  At that price I would have just kept him and tried to make a run.  They're the 6-seed.  Why actively make your squad worse?

Cheap-ass franchise gonna cheap-ass franchise, I guess.

Great trade for Philly. I hope they keep Hield in the offseason. It would be nice to see him finally get to play for a good team.

Nesmith is now the only real SF on the Pacers. I am guessing Ben Sheppard takes the backup SF duties.

I think Marcus Morris is too old to play SF minutes especially on Indy's run and gun system. Looks like 3rd string PF material to me. Maybe 4th string. Siakam starter, Toppin sub. Jalen Smith vs Marcus Morris for 3rd string. Jarace Walker as well.
