I don't think it's actually all that bad.  As soon as he sat down he tried to tie the shoe tighter so he could go back out there.  I'm guessing the trainer/Doc told him not to bother and to just rest it  so he didn't hurt it anymore.
do it

Noticed that as well, hopefully you're right.  :)

would everyone just accept that the Cs aren't going to have shaq and west for the playoffs? both are just too injury prone

As far as i know shaq has only missed 2 playoff games ever.
From nba.com.'missed two games due to injury, the first missed playoff games of his career…had his streak of 164 consecutive playoff games played snapped at Washington on May 12, 2005' . I don't think he's missed a playoff game since so odds on the big fella will be playing.

Hmm, I didn't watch the game or anything, but that's very encouraging.

I didn't watch the game either, but that's good to hear.

Yeah, Ed Lacerte sat next to him, instead of his customary seat next to Doc, and began talking to him while he tied his shoe. I'm certain he was told that he wasn't going to be going back in, so it was better to go to the locker room to begin treatment (ice-to control swelling).

Many on here thought that way about JO. JO was actually worse than either of them. Did you see how JO looked against the Wiz?

Let's not pretend we have special insights into this all.

Celtics fans play doctor all the time on this blog. That's not news. Even one of the front pagers has "DR" in his name.  :P

Typical Delonte, hopefully he'll be alright. We will need him.

I'd say 7 or 8 times at least.

Good thing we rested our players.  Imagine if that was Rondo tumbling under JaVale!

Of the top 9 West is probably the most easy to overcome his loss, especially in round 1. C's can play Pierce at both wing positions, keep Green at SF and backup Rondo with Arroyo.

That still leaves Shaq / JO / Kristic at C and KG at PF - with Baby covering both.

The biggest drop off is at guard on defense...
