Dominating game from start to finish, Shaq, KG, and Nate all had double doubles. Everyone played hard, made hustle plays, and got out to a hot start. The Celtics were up 20+ quickly in the first quarter and never looked back, the Hawks never got close after that.

Box Score

Shaq 2
KG 2
Nate 2

Nice to see Avery Bradley make his regular season debut.

I mirrored your choices.  Still, I was tempted to give Ray one, simply for that three he drilled at the end of the first half on the broken play where Pierce got stuffed on the dunk attempt.  Horford made a great play and was trying to show out, only to turn around and watch Ray rip the soul out of Atlanta.

I voted the same way.

Not even close who was MVP was KG,   Tied for team lead in rebounds at 11, shot 80% from FG range, 100 % from the line, lead us in blocks and points this game and had five assists as a PF.  And BTW, also contained Josh Smith on defense.

I went 3 KG, 2 Nate, 1 Shaq.

KG was just too encompassing...not only the ultra efficient 17/11/5 on 80% shooting in 24 minutes.  But also, did you peep what he did to Josh Smith?  Smith came into last night averaging 22.3 points, 9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.5 blocks, 2.0 steals on 37/66 on 56% shooting from the field in his last 4 games.  Last night?  Josh turned in 2 points, 3 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals.  He didn't make a single shot from the floor.  That's domination.

I gave Nate the 2 because his floor game was not only good, but it was outside of his norm.  He actually looked like a real point guard for large swatches of the night.

And Shaq just dominated those poor boys early.  He was in Goliath mode.
