I hate reading these posts how JB as a starter and JT out, is the reason we were blown out. Sorry guys. It's another one on Brad. Just try to count how many blow-outs and out-of-reach games we had this year. Waaay too many... I just didn't see some CBS's magic for so long.

I would like to see the stats for the entire history of the NBA where a team shoots over 60% and doesn't blow the other team out.

Team needs inside defense and inside offense more than anything.

Some team can expose this and just crush us

I don't think it is a Stevens problem. It is a changes to the league issue. The three point shot has changed the game. Top teams lose to bottom teams more easily. Large comebacks happen more often. Big blowouts happen more.

When a team is shooting well from 3
or when a a team is shooting horribly from 3

Results can vary widely.

I think it is just something we have to get used to. Not react to it the way we would've had 5-10+ years ago.

This is the new NBA.

Clips were unconscious.  Not much you can do about that.  Next game

Quote
When Kyrie Irving was asked for his thoughts on this Clippers season, he gave a very lengthy answer — one heaping praise on Doc Rivers for the job he's done with this team.

"It's so easy to play for a guy that's been a player in this league," Irving said. "He's won a championship and he's done unbelievable things in this league for his players while giving them confidence to go out there and be who they are. Lou signed an extension for a reason, and that's Doc. He puts those guys in position, gives them the freedom and keeps them encouraged throughout the whole game -- especially when they're at home.

"Not only do they stay on the refs the whole entire frickin' game -- I've never seen a team complain as much -- but he really holds them to a standard and let's them go out and play. Who would've known Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would be where he is now, being on a playoff team that's competing for a spot? Those type of opportunities don't come along often in this league, especially when you have a coach that's going to get you the ball, and Sam Cassell and the coaching staff, they're going to keep getting the best out of you.

"That's what you want. That's all the credit, after playing them twice now throughout this regular season, but also playing against Doc for the last several years."

Morris is just plain pathetic as a power forward. Harrell exposed Morris Jr., again.

CBS is just stupid trying to play small ball against them. You would think he would of learned after the first game. Harrell just kills us.

Psst. Harrell split time with Zubac at center. No other bigs played (other than Green who is pretty similar to Morris in size). He play 0 pf last night.

I know how its popular to blame CBS or small ball or Morris or something else for losses. But at least make sure its legitimate blame.

So youre saying Al Horford had no help inside? Thats because Morris is a powerless power forward.

i know the loss sucks but doesn't this help with both our Clippers and King's pick?

ensures it to be harder for Kings to make playoffs pushing them to lotto but not bad enough to get #1, probably mid to late lotto?

And I forgot the protection of the Clips pick but isn't it better if they make playoffs as well?

Watching the game, Morris was made to look like a scrub out there. It’s a real shame he starts. I get not hitting shots but he routinely got beat on D by every member of the Clippers team because they outworked him.

Also, I don’t know if JB is hard of hearing or what but he always has a couple of defensive miscommunications per game. Like, not switching, leaving his man, etc. I don’t know if he doesn’t hear his teammates or forgets the game plan but it happens quite often

Overall this was a pretty good road trip. I'd say the Kings game was the best of the games because we did what we needed to do to beat them and help put us in a position of getting their pick this year.

The Warriors game was fun but far from a yardstick of where we are at. We got hot, the Warriors are dropping games left and right right now (4-6 in their last 10). Not really a measure except to show that the Warriors are just going through the motions right now.

The Lakers game I don't even count, they are a hot mess.

Didn't see the game last night and I'm happy I didn't.

I'd say overall a positive direction for us but I'm not convinced that we are getting any better or more consistent.

Clippers are a very tough and physical team with size, length, rebounding and scoring ability.

Everything you'd want in a team

If they get themselves a max player this summer, which they likely will (Durant, Kawhi, etc.), they're going to be a force.

Good for them and good for Doc.
