Some horrible luck for us there. One inch higher and 3 runs. Unreal. Keuchel should give Kemp his game check for that one.

Incredible catch against the left field wall. Hard to put in words, but you should be able to see it in the game highlights later tonight

Edit: for more clarification, it was nearly a three run homer (or two run double) by Steve Pearce, but ended the inning instead

If we keep hitting the ball pretty hard good things will happen. Keuchel has not been good tonight.

We've been unlucky several times now. Houston got a couple pretty weak singles, and they've gotten away with a couple grounders that could have been double plays.

Just gotta keep at it till we break through a bit more and maybe open this thing up.

There's a really good chance that Pearce drive did hit the metal lip above that metal flap. Looks like it changed direction slightly then shot straight down into the glove. Good times.

The first replay they showed after the commercial made it look like a hut, but they never went back to it. We did challenge it, though, and they probably found that it was inconclusive

I agree there's not enough evidence to overturn. But my gut tells me, based on the replay and the crispness of the sound it made hitting the wall, that it was a home run. Just some really bad luck there. Gotta overcome.

65 pitches through 4 for Eovaldi. He definitely looks more in control after the rough first couple of innings

man it is an awful lot to ask of evoldi and the bullpen if we don't get any more runs here...
