Not that this is a huge deal. It is also Haywards team, CBS team etc.   But as the face of the franchise Nick Wright is hinting that now, it has become Tatum team.  Even more so than Irvings

agree or disagree?

Agree to some extent. I expect Tatum to eclipse Kyrie as the better player in the next couple of years.

Also, I think Irvings health is too shaky to consider him a franchise cornerstone. Guys like Dirk, Duncan, Kobe, Pierce were franchise cornerstones because they consistently lead their teams and were durable has heck, rarely ever missed games let alone entire post seasons. It sucks too because it's not like I don't think Irving has the talent, but his durability is concerning to say the least.

I agree with that part. I was having this conversation with a friend who's a Toronto fan recently. I think Tatum takes over in a few years but right now, it's Irving's team. When they're on the floor together, this is clear.

disagree.  Irving will be the primary leader as long as he's in Boston.  But really the whole thing is silly. It takes a village to win a championship...

If you poll the casual NBA fan (one that watched some games last season), I am willing to bet they will name kyrie first, more than any one, if asked who plays for the Celtics. The face of the franchise goes to the person who sells the most jerseys and who the fans know most. Until that's Tatum then he isn't the face.

I'm in no way saying he can't be,  eventually, but he isnt yet and I don't even think it's even close enough to debate.

Oh, even if the discussion is only based on play then I still don't think it's a debate yet. I don't think it has to be that way until Irving leaves, if Tatum is better, I just don't see how it's really a question now.

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

With Nick Wright? Yes, presumably (I didn’t listen to what he said, and took your word for it.)

My wife asked me which Celtics jersey to buy for my birthday, and I told her that the only person that is safe is Jayson Tatum. So, I complete agree.

In order for Ainge to trade Tatum, he's going to have to get a haul. The teams that have the kind of haul that we're looking for are also trying to accumulate the same haul.

This is Tatum's team as he is the only untouchable.

How have so many people completely forgotten how good Irving is?

I know we as sports fans tend to have short memories for some things, but come on.  This is lunacy.

For me, its whoever can carry the team the deepest into the playoffs

We all know Kyrie has helped the Cavs win a championship.  But if he keeps getting injured and Tatum is there at the finish line.... I agree with Nick

Next season (assuming Kyrie is still a Celtic).. I think we will have a better idea

In terms of untouchable. Well Tatum imo is at the top of the list

Next year I don't think he is, thats still Kyrie and possibly even Hayward at number 2 depending on how he comes back.

But Two/three years and beyond. Absolutely.
