Their expiring contracts and a 1st for Pierce?

(just throwing it out there before someone else does.   ;D
I think I'd want Brook Lopez over the expiring contracts (I know Brook is expiring as well, but I don't consider him an expiring contract).

How about something like this?

Brook, Farmar, Petro, Stevenson for Pierce

The Nets could still then use Okur and/or Humphries to try to add talent (maybe send Okur to the wizard for Blatche and McGee or something like that).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
this Dwight Howard drama has thrown many teams into a last minute scramble for deals. This is great, this is when bad deals happen. Danny must be sitting back waiting for someone to screw up and make a desperation deal that he can join in on.

great point.   Danny is stalking like big hawk , waiting for a GM to make a mistake or put a guy on the block that he can get good return on.

I like to think of Danny Ainge like a dirty old bum. He's comin' up to me, and I'm 'bout to sock him one, cause, you know, he's a dirty old bum, but then I say, "Wait a minute, there's something... I don't know, special about this guy."

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

Great way to convince Williams to run to Dallas.

Was a big proponent of getting DWill during and after the CP3 stuff was happening. Not so sure now.

If we had him for the whole season, I think that he would've bought into our culture here (ubuntu, fanbase, city, etc.) and stayed. Now is too short a time to think that 1. he can integrate into our O and D systems now and 2. that he would stay after this season.

Plus they would more than just Rondo for him. It should be the other way around given the possibility of him just being a rental.

No thanks. That ship has sailed.

attitude questions
better outside shooter than rondo other than that rondo (to me) is better in every aspect of pg game
rondo's contract is a deal in comparison

no thank you, if he leaves jersey that was an expensive rental for a short season
can't get over jerry sloan was fired over williams to try and keep him happy either
jerry sloan > deron williams

Doesn't seem like much of a floor general, IMO. He can score but I like Rondo as the C's PG more.

I think he is going to Dallas no matter what if he can't play with Dwight, but you just never know.  He may relish being the man in Brooklyn's first ever season of basketball.

I see him doing well in Dallas. Boston might be too cerebral for him.

Portland and New Jersey are engaged in advanced talks on a deal that would send Gerald Wallace to the Nets, a league source tells Y!

Doing what they can to appease Deron, I see.
