Stevens traded away Robert Williams? He’s absolutely dead to me now.

Adios. If trading away a bench guy that misses 30 plus games a season makes you swear off the Celtics then I so be it.

You don’t get Williams clearly — so same to you, Magic.

What Rob does can be replaced. Plus he is always hurt. I will bet you 20 Tp's he misses at least 20 games in Portland this season.

Hot take: TL was never going to fulfill his potential

I was worried about this watching him last year but didn’t wanna jinx it. Now that he’s off the roster, I can say it without feeling guilty that I’m dooming the franchise

TL is fool’s gold. He’s amazing when his athletic abilities match his desire, but as players get older, their athletic abilities slightly drop off and their mental abilities take over (which should more than make up for any slippage in athletic ability). I didn’t think TL was gonna transition well. .

IMO, we got a great return for him and Brogdon (whose leadership and shooting I will miss). Let’s get that ring! Go C’s!

We will have only one average to above average bench player next season. Now that bench guy will be one of the top bench guys in the league whether it is D White or Horford.

I reckon our next best bench player is Sam Hauser.
Then Payton Pritchard.

We essentially traded Smart, Brog, and Rob for Zinger and Holiday.  I do that trade all day, every day.  Let’s go get that ring, Celtics!!!!

Well that should please the Hauser and PP crowd that wants them to get regular minutes. I don't think the Brad is done with the bench yet.

I don’t like it.

Possibly because I’m hungover, but it feels like a mistake.

Go C’s.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Just because Holliday and Porzingis made an All-Star team or two in the past…. does not make them “All-Star Players”. Neither of them are All Stars.

But 2 of the 3 biggest injuries concerns are actually leaving in this deal.

That is a great point. That is nice to get away from.

So we only have one injury prone guy now in Porzingis along with one old dude in Horford who while not injury prone is really old which has some injuries / fall of a cliff concerns.

And they play the same position. Optimistic view they help cover one another's frailities. Pessimistic view compounded risk of both being limited / unavailable and no legit big to cover them.

Neither need to be all stars right now.

You don't like the moves Brad made this offseason. But you the Cs could not have run it back as is. That wasn't going to work.

I want to know what moves you wanted or what you think was a winning formula?

I like Jrue more as a 3rd option than a 4th option. Less opportunities for him to utilize his offensive skills. Diminished returns.

Not convinced he is worth the pay (money wise, trade package wise) as a 4th option. If Jrue is 3rd option and Porzingis is 4th, then Porzingis is not worth the money.

I wonder what the tax bill looks like now.

Again...what do you think the Celtics should have done this offseason? What would make you happy?

One of my concerns of Brad when he took over the GM role, was that he may have been too close to the players and may be reluctant to trade them. Apparently, he is all about winning and will do anything to get there. Hey trader Danny, hold my beer.
