Victor Oladipo was traded by the Indiana Pacers to the Houston Rockets for Caris LeVert as part of the broader James Harden trade.

Oladipo will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and sources tell Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer that he still hopes to eventually end up with the Miami Heat.

Oladipo had reportedly wanted a trade from the Pacers for some time.

Houston could still trade Oladipo before the trade deadline.

Must be nice to be a team in a city where players want to go play.

Three B-level stars. Still no cases of "the best of the best" wanting to play for Boston.

Oladipo is an A level star?

Oladipo is the best of the best?

Anyway, Miami was interested at one point but backed off of him.

How many times have A) your so-called "the best of the best" been available & B) the Celtics have had cap space at that time to acquire them?

Eh.  Hayward was on Jimmy Butler’s level, and he picked Boston over Miami. Kemba was a bigger star than Oladipo currently is.

We were Durant’s second choice when he left OKC.  Horford was heavily recruited by other teams when he signed here.

We’re not LA or NYC, but we still attract top talent.

he is not a billionaire yet and still wants the  Lebron paydays .

Even Hayward fell to the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The owners created these over paid monsters.

Kemba was all-nba when we signed him and an all star starter last year.

Olapido was the 3rd best player on an Indy team that had been looking to unload him.

I don't see the Heat giving him big $$. They already passed on him once and they have no need for him.

No he's not, and I never said that. It was simply that him stating his desire to play for Miami reminded me that Miami is a much more preferred destination than Boston.

Meh. I'm waiting for the day when someone at the level of Davis/Durant/Leonard/LeBron wants to sign in Boston.

In other words, not just stars, but superstars.

And? Just because he has a destination preference doesn’t mean anything.
