The New Orleans Pelicans are openly discussing star Jrue Holiday in trade talks and several contending teams are pursuing, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Do you guys believe the C's are/should be among those contending teams pursuing Jrue?

Personally speaking, I'd love us to strike a deal with the Pels around Kemba. Feel free to add incoming or outgoing pick(s) if you deem it necessary.

Yes we should.  However I'd expect several playoff teams to be really interested if Jrue becomes available.

In a world where feelings and perception didn't matter I would love to trade Kemba for Jrue.  Ainge won't do it though, and possibly shouldn't.

With him making north of $25M, the only possible deal revolves around Kemba. While I like Jrue, I feel like Kemba has more top end talent (if healthy), and it would also look terrible to trade him one year after he signed with us. The time to deal Kemba (if any) will be next summer; we just have to be patient and appreciate his great attitude and all-star skills while he is here.

Pels, I doubt, would do that either.

But

Jrue
Smart
Brown
Tatum
??

pretty good.

Hayward to Pels is probably not doable from all angles (Hayward and Pels both I'm guessing), but technically speaking Jrue can start at the 2.

Kemba, Smart
Jrue, Smart
Brown
Tatum
X

Jrue and Rondo started together in N.O.  Of course that team had Boogie and Davis so different scenario.  But still, not the weirdest thing in the world in a vacuum.

This my take when Holiday got his last contract. But I feel he has played well despite his team's lack of success. I'd like him if team didn't have Kemba or Smart.

Agreed on the expense, but I would say he's more likely to have been underrated throughout his career?
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

My favorite non-celtic in the entire NBA.

Unfortunately don’t see a trade that makes sense. Hopefully Philly doesn’t get him.

Hard to see NO leaping on a trade centered around Horford or Harris' salary

Maybe the Pacers with Oladipo? Jrue and Brogdon could probably play together
I'm bitter.

GSW could offer Wiggins and #2 for Jrue.  Maybe try to work it to get Redick too.

Not sure New Orleans would want to invest so much salary in a 3rd / 4th option
