I see Sactown, NY, Houston, and Dallas as the best possibilities probably in that order.

I wouldn't be surprised to see SacTown push for Rondo and Smith and role with Rondo,Gay, Smith, Cousins.

NY could make the push to add a star next to Carmelo, however Rondo's shooting in the triangle could be interesting.

Houston has been looking for a star PG for quite sometime. Harden is such a dominant ball handler though, I'd be surprised to see them work out.

Dallas would be awesome but I don't think they have the players to make it work. Imagine  a starting 5 of Rondo, Ellis, Parsons, Dirk, Chandler....That would be silly good.

Houston may be best trade partner. They want Rondo, have a TE, have two first, and some young players to deal.

I don't think their TE can be used in a trade for Rondo since it is just $8.4 million and can't be used with other outgoing players.  Kostas Pap, Jet, and the Pelicans first round pick might make sense. I don't know much about Kostas Pap, but he's a young small forward that has been getting minutes for the Rockets as a rookie.

TJones would have to be included for me if the Rox want to make this deal.

Jones is a nice player but I feel like we can do better. Too bad they didn't give us Parsons and Jones for Rondo last year.

The TE can be used on absorbing Bass or Thornton. Who C's are likely to let walk any how in rebuild. This at least creates an additional asset for a year not just cap space. .

"Celtics showing willingness to trade good players" is a headline that's run ever year since Ainge took over.

I think you mean "any players."

I would wager that the only guy Ainge isn't actively putting out feelers on is Smart.

Any guesses as to the suitors who want Green?

Hornets are obvious choice. MKG and Vonleh for Green

I'm not sure we can get that package for Green.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
1) Boston sends:Green+Rondo+Olynyk

   Lakers send: 2014-15 lottery pick +Julius Randle+Nash+filler
(would they win enough to lose the pick this year?)

2) Houston sends: Terrence Jones+ Clint Capela+Jason Terry+Ariza

   Boston sends: Rondo+Green+Faverani.

I'll be interesting to hear what Mannix has to say. Perhaps he's heard something similar.

I don't think Hornets have much of a choice. MKG has too many flaws to be considered a big chip. Vonleh still needs years of development.

Maybe not, but maybe we get theMKG and Vonleh by taking Stephenson off their hands like this:

Green + Bass for Stephenson, MKG and Vonleh.

The Lakers already owe their top 5 protected draft pick to Phoenix.

If it's top 5 then they keep it though don't they? They also have Houston's pick I think (top 15 protected or something).
