Tankathon 2019 lottery simulator is up and running with the new odds. ;D
First official 2019 Lottery simulation (original team positions are a guess):

What did you get on your tries?
-
4 tries — 2nd twice and 6th twice. I’ll take that and stop until next May.
-
3rd, 6th, 8th, 2nd. I stopped on 2nd, but would be ecstatic in real life with anything 2-5.

This one is more fun
I got 5 and 9 at the same time (the Memphis pick conveys as well). Imagine if that happens. Preferably 2 and 9

TP playing with it I realized we could have 2 lottery picks next year?!!!

Also nice to see the NBA make the lottery a little better now they have to deal with the salary cap! I heard Adam Silver talk about this a lot over the past week. He made good points about not punishing teams that have good management but at the same time trying to stop super teams and have a little more parity. Not an easy thing to do but I hope they try.

Well technically we could have 3 lottery picks next year but no one wants that.
-
Would be cool to get Bol Bol and Barrett

TP for the laugh ;D

true, that would suck but I'd be just fine with the Memphis pick not conveying until it's unprotected. wouldn't be upset of the Clips pick delayed a year to 2020 either. gives us 2 first rounders for the next 3 years that way.

I'm in the same boat. That Memphis pick in 2021 could be absolute money.
This is also why I don't take too much stock when people make projections on NBA draft classes, especially since some people have said that 2021 NBA draft could feature some really special players, and could be a very strong class.
Although, Jalen Green in 2021. Wow. This kid is phenomenal.

If the Clippers pick falls in the lottery in 2019 then we get their second rounder. The 1st round pick doesn't roll over for following year so there's that.

it only becomes a second if clips miss playoffs in 2019 and 2020
https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/boston-celtics/celtics-trade-picks-31-and-35-future-2019-first-round-pick
The Celtics traded picks No. 31 (Deyonta Davis) and 35 in the second round to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for a future protected first-round pick from the Clippers.
The Clippers pick is protected in the lottery (picks 1-14) in 2019 and 2020. If it’s not conveyed after 2020, then the Celtics will instead a receive 2022 second-round pick.

I use this website for future traded picks but you are correct. I haven't checked it for a while and thought the Clips pick was lotto protected for next year only. And that 2nd rounder is a ways away ...2022..lol...if the Clips pick doesn't convey by 2020.

Edit: just makes Danny more of a fkn crook than originally thought.

What happens if Sac ends up with the first pick and it goes to Philly?
-
We get stuck with Philly's own first.

We get stuck with Philly's own first.
It would be great if somehow Philly suffers injuries for a year causing them to miss the playoffs so we would be guaranteed a lottery pick from that trade. ;D That number 1 pick protection makes me nervous.
-
If everyone lives up to their potential...Jontay Porter with the Memphis pick might make a good pairing with Robert Williams down the line as Horford ages...
-
Landed #3 & #9. Not bad at all
-
It's insane. We have a team that was 5 minutes away from the Finals, adding two All-NBA talents next year, plus a solid chance at 2 top-10 picks in the 2019 draft.
At this point, there are 28 other GMs who probably think their best strategy of beating Danny Ainge involves a voodoo doll or a meteor.

meanwhile the east gets weaker. Cleveland might lose lebron, Philly will probably lose key players like jj reddick, bucks lose parker, etc

And I think that’s definitely a possibility of happening.
I wouldn’t mind moving that pick for something else. The best it could be is 15 and a chance it could be 44.

That French kid developing behind Hayward could really be something

The only reason the Sixers might lose Redick is if they get Lebron or George. The Bucks losing Parker is a net positive for them.

another team can give reddick a better deal

We get philly’s pick, most likely 20-27.

And then, right there we draft a future 7-time Allstar, on a team that gives with 3-5 Allstars annually.

I got #2 and #10 twice in a row, Cam Reddish and Jontay Porter. I'd be very happy with that, or taking Zion at #2 perhaps. Not sure if there is better value at #10 either.

nbadraft.net right now has Reddish at 10 and Porter at 15. This seems to vary from a lot of other places though.

not seeing many names i know
need to watch alot college hoops
-
I got 6, 10, and 28. This is all just based on projections of where teams will finish but still interesting. It seems a good bet that SAC will be bad but not so sure about Memphis. They may well be bad (but hopefully not too bad) but with their veterans, you never know.

They (nbadraft.net) need to update their mock draft board. Charles Bassey, who has reclassified a couple of weeks ago and will attend Western Kentucky, is not even on there yet. He is likely a top 10 pick.
I also think that Cam Reddish will be the best player in this draft.
-
Just played: SAC landed #5!
SAC odds still #2. MEM dropped to #12.
Barrett, Reddish, Little, Williamson, Langford 1-5 on their mock.
-
I will be ecstatic if the Sacramento pick lands in the top 6
-
If we get 2 top 10 picks it would be like winning a second title in a row because we will the 2019 title
-
DA will trade this pick for Davis anyhow
