Best Rap albums for me:

Mix Tape About Nothing (Wale)
Things Fall Apart (The Roots)
Low End Theory (Tribe Called Quest)
Quality Control (Jurassic 5)
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Kanye West)
The Black Album (Jay-Z)
All Eyez on Me (2pac) --> haven't listened to this one enough, though.

In no particular order, my favorite rap albums:

Kanye West - My Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye West - College Dropout
Jurrasic 5 - Quality Control
Notorious B.I.G - Ready To Die
Blackstar - Blackstar
Eminem - Marhsall Mathers LP
Nas - Stillmatic (I'm going to get a lot of hate for putting STILL but not Ill, huh?)
Jay Z - Blue Album
NWA - Straight Outta Compton

I'll admit that I haven't really listened to Wu Tang enough to put them on the list. So not an omission by me thinking it's not great music, just haven't listened enough to put it up there.

I'll go one further, I'm not crazy about 2pac in general.

You crazy.

I understand that he has a ridiculous style that will forever go unparallleled, but outside of a few songs I just wasn't ever crazy about his music.

To me the first Chronic is the best on that list.

I'm sure I'm in the majority but I love Relapse and Relapse reloaded more than the earlier Eminem stuff.

My Classic album that I keep going back to after all these years is Organized Konfusion - Stress: The Extinction Agenda.  I love all of Pharoahe Monch's stuff.

I, honestly, wouldn't vote for any of these if the Slim Shady LP was on that list. That was by far Em's best album. But lyrically, I'd choose Em's Infinite (If you haven't heard it, it's his first album ever made, no commercial success whatsoever). But Out of all these, I'd probably go with Marshall Mathers LP, Chronic, or Doggystyle. Those are all instant classics. But for all you old school hip-hop junkies like myself, Nas' Illmatic is the way to go! For all you new hip hop kind of guys, Tyler, The Creator's albums **** and Goblin are just amazing, especially considering how he's only 18-20 when he made these. AND if you liked Tyler's stuff, check out his "little brother's" album Earl by Earl Sweatshirt. He's gonna be the King of Rap soon before he even hits his 20's! His wordplay is just too deadly and he was noly 16 when he dropped his ****. check em out, yo.
R.I.P Proof, Eazy-E, Bugz, Biggie, and Pac!

The beats on infinite were sooooo bad though. The track infinite itself is by far the best track on the album. Marshall Mathers was the best album by em is my opinion. He was still raw and had a great and interesting story
I think it's just another testament to his skill that he could lay such basic beats and still have such a ridiculous album.  He wanted people to focus on the lyrics so he could make a name for himself, and it worked.  Looking at the rest of his projects, it's extremely hard to question his talent as a producer.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

i couldn’t disagree more. Relapse was phoned in and Em would even admit that. His first three albums and recovery are way better in my opinion.
