If he gets bought out? It would be interesting if he had to choose between more money from a contender or Cleveland.

Orlando, Boston, San Antonio spent theirs. As did the Cavs.

The Lakers have their MLE but no use for Big Z.

Outside contenders -- Hawks have their MLE and a bigger body up front. Dallas doesn't. Utah has their MLE but has luxury tax issues. Denver still has their MLE and needs size in a big way.

Oh nice I would love to see Denver get him. He might just put them over the top...

I just really really really hope the Cavs don't get him back if nothing else than they had to give up someone in their rotation to get Antawn Jamison. Also, the Cavs don't deserve him after giving him a DNP when he was going to break the franchise record for consecutive games played.

I think there is a pretty good chance he joins the Hawks or Denver. Cleveland already has Shaq,Varajao,Hickson and Jamison at the 4/5 . That leaves very few mins for BigZ.

I agree.  Z has played his entire career in Cleveland and has made a ton of money; I don't think he'll leave for somewhere else now that they're the closest they've ever been to a championship.

I guess the only thing that could lead to him departing is if he has a problem with Mike Brown.  I don't see it happening, though.

No. Artest signed for the vet min just to prove that he "LOVED" LA...later on he regretted that decision as he knew he could have been paid more.

Agreed -- Big Z is a lock to return to Cleveland

I don't see anyone willing to offer him a large chunk of their MLE either. Maybe the LLE but Cleveland can match that.

He will try to get the biannual exception from Cleveland.  The negotiation with the Wizards will be non trivial though.  The Wizards by trading Dominic McGuire do not NEED to cut Z to get under the tax line.

Anyone who thinks Z cares about minutes right now is kidding themselves.  This is his 13th season.  He just want to win a championship.  He is not going to go somewhere in the hopes that he is going to get a lot of minutes, he wants to go somewhere to win a championship.

He has spent his whole career in Cleveland.  The people here love him and he loves the fans.  You couldn't meet a nicer guy out in public.  Z has given his heart and soul to the Cavs.  He and Danny Ferry are very good friends (so are he and Lebron).  Anyone see Ferry almost crying when he was talking about trading Z?  Z understands the business end of this deal.  He knows his number will be retired in Cleveland and would like to win a championship here after all he has been through.

I will be crushed if he doesn't come back to Cleveland.  The guy is as class as they come and a great team player.
