3 out of 4 home teams lost..in playoffs, home court doesnt mean anything

Game ones are not series wins. It takes 4. Of the 3 teams that lost, I think only 1–Denver—is in real trouble. So far.

I agree. I'm not changing my original picks, although I did have Toronto sweeping Orlando (welp), which was TOR in 4, PHI in 6, DEN in 7. Now I think Toronto in 5 (they'll definitely bounceback).

With that said, I agree that Denver I think can be in real trouble, and so could Philly.

If Embiid's actually playing with a nagging injury and continues to be limited on the court, then BKN could pull off the upset. I don't think PHI can really stop their guards, so unless Reddick and Simmons have monster games it becomes hard for them to win (as we saw yesterday). You know Russell and co. are probably going to keep feasting on PHI's guards this whole series.

When I see Philly get beat by a team like the Nets, it just makes me think of how badly I overrated the acquisitions of Butler and Harris.

Fixed it for you.  ;)

If anyone thinks I'm surprised by D'Angelo Russell evolving into an all-star, you need only to see my supremely sarcastic post back in 2016:

"32 points for D'Angelo Russell tonight in a sad glimpse of what could have been.  Tragic that the 20 year old had his career cut short by hackers leaking the video he took of Nick Young during their prank war.  Really a shame.  He could have been a pretty good player. Sad it's over.  It's a shame his teammate Kobe Bryant couldn't give him some sage advice about salvaging a career after a rape trial.  Unfortunately, it's much easier to come back from rape allegations/pubically cheating on your wife than it is coming back from a leaked snap chat video that allegedly broke a bro code.   I wonder if he can get a fresh start in China like Stephon Marbury. "

we are now supposed to believe this was sarcasm?

I don't know, there's no way "it's much easier to come back from rape allegations/pubically cheating on your wife than it is coming back from a leaked snap chat video that allegedly broke a bro code" could be tongue-in-cheek

(And that's me being sarcastic, in case anyone misses that  ;D)

Ed Davis is a FA this summer, C’s could use another backup energy rebounding big

But remember, the Sixers have superior talent all across the board. They'll coast to the Finals no problem!

That's what we've all heard all year from him. Also that PHI making a 2nd round last year was a massive success while us making the ECF Game 7 (w/o Kyrie and Hayward) was an "overrated run"   ::)

I doubt he'd been in our price range, unless we want to use the tax-payer's mini-MLE. If we get AD, though, I'd rather use that on a guard

Every time I think about a Davis trade, I want to sneak Etwaun Moore in there. Good shooter who could be as a back up 2. Plus, the Celtics drafted him so he'd just be coming home.

What? I doubt Portland makes it out of the first round.
