That was a convincing win by Denver. I'd be surprised if Miami won another game at Denver. Nuggets should have this in the bag now, even if they lose Game 4. Scary thing is, I don't even think DEN has played at their best this series, and they are up 2-1. Miami played their best Game 2 and only won by 3.

Jokic goes 32pts 20reb 10ast
J Murray goes 34pts 10ast 10reb

Both guys going with the 30+pts triple double.

Jokic and Murray are a good duo, I don't want to take a leap but they may challenge Tatum/Brown as the best duo in the league.

Most (but not all) of the top teams have a combination of a big with a guard or wing as their 2 best players:

Giannis - Holiday
Embiid - Harden
Jackson - Morant
Sabonis - Fox
Randle - Bronson
Adebayo - Butler
Davis - LeBron

The Warriors have been a notable exception to this as are the Celtics.

As to the direct comparison, Jokic is a two time MVP so it is no shame to say he is above Tatum.  And I think Murray is right there with Brown, as long as he is healthy.  So, yeah, Jokic and Murray probably are the better tandem.  I think it benefits Murray to be paired with Jokic vs another guard or wing.  It also makes it hard to do a direct comparison.

Jokic and Murray have a great 2-man game

Does Tatum and Brown have any? I need to see them both looking for each other next season.

They could. They should. But sadly they don’t. That would require more movement without the ball, less iso ball handling, and passing to each other. That doesn’t sound like too much to ask but apparently it is?

I think the fact that Joker is a MVP level talent who is more consistent than either Brown or Tatum, and can therefore be counted on, makes up for any deficiency that Murray has.

Denver's really good, but watching the Finals still makes me mad the C's choked it. Talent and depth-wise, the C's are better than both teams. But they don't play with the same attitude/edge as Denver/Miami. Should be us in this spot, but nope...

Denver solved Miami last night. Series is over.

You don’t what Jokic to be a play maker? Fine. He’ll just take over the game offensively until you adjust to make him a playmaker again.

How many times in the past 4 playoffs did we "solve" Miami, only to have them extend or win the series? Spo is too good at adjustments for the team to get "solved"

I know. It's like Miami was born to negate/kill Boston. We've had trouble putting them away efficiently in previous playoff encounters. 2011, 2012, 2020, 2022, 2023.

Anytime the C's match up with the Heat in the postseason it's bad news lol. Against other eastern conference foes no problem adjustments are there lol.

They are our kryptonite. Their zone stonewalls our slashers. Their composure leads to decent 3pt shots due to our panicky defense.

They know if they make things hard on our offense we'll make mistakes, and they cash in every single time. Their half court offense is nothing special. But our turnovers and wild shots lead to easy looks for them time and again.

It's unreal, and it's something Brad needs to think long and hard about when making roster changes.

It doesn't work against Jokic, because he will punish them inside. And he and Murray make intelligent passes when they get into trouble.

We are too one-dimensional and predictable. Which is why I love it when Marcus, The Jays, or even Rob etc post up. That is the answer. It does collapse their zone. We just didn't utilize it enough.

I'd like to see Miami start C Martin tonight instead of Strus. Strus is giving them nothing. Go bigger on the wing. Two bigs. Two good size wings. Get more size on defense.

Heat trying to win another series by getting a foot under the other team's best player. I mean, hey, it worked against the Celtics in game 7.

The Heat hanging in there purely with flopping and cheap shots and illegal hooks

But according to ESPN and TNT thats just a savvy veteran play LOL. These bums rip into Smart for embellishing actual contact but teams like the lakers and heat flop and hold their way thru every game while also getting the beneficial whistle and get praised for it
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden
