Some items from RealGM Forums

(1) Kevin Knox signed two year $6mil for Detroit.
(2) Thaddeus Young signs two year $16mil with Toronto.
(3) Boucher re-signs with Raptors for 3yr $35.25mil
(4) Bagley 3yr $37mil re-signs with Detroit
(5) Dedmon 2yr $9mil stays with Miami

McGee got a 3 year deal worth $20mil. I am surprised he got a 3yr deal at his age. Good deal for him.

Would you rather have Boucher, Bagley, McGee, or Young on their contracts?

For me, its absolutely Mcgee.

I still can't come to terms with paying Beal over 50 million a year.  That is just insane for a player of Beal's caliber.

Jokic I totally understand, but Beal is just nuts.

It could be one of the worst contracts in the league before the ink dried

Yep, best deal of the bunch.

Smart and TIMELORD's contracts look like even bigger bargains watching the spending fest.

Drummond to Chicago.

Does that open up Gallinari to Boston? Chicago and Boston were considered the favorites to land him

Yeah, absolute bargains.  I thought as much last year.

Wizards have now owned 4 of the worst contracts of all time:

John Wall
Gilbert Arenas
Russell Westbrook
Bradley Beal

I remember Blatche getting a ridiculous contract too but not quite on that level

2 yr/$6.6M. That is seemingly just over the vet min, so I'm not exactly sure if they had to use part of their MLE or what. Either way, the amount doesn't guarantee anything regarding Gallinari, but does definitely still leave open the possibility.

I was going to type the same thing. Those supermax contracts for guys that aren't super-duper-stars often hinder a team more than help them. Maybe they'll be able to trade Beal in a year or two, but based on past results, he will get somewhat injured, come back as a good, but not great player, and then the Wiz will be completely unable to offload him without including major assets.

Could be their BAE.

Edit:  Nope

Quote
Bulls could have used biannual exception on Drummond but they wasted it on Tristan Thompson last March. Had to cut into their MLE instead.

Definitely feels odd that Lavine hasn't resigned yet.

I’ve seen it reported from Chicago media that it’s a formality at this point.  My guess is they’re working through an injury guarantee, Bu it’ll get done.

It’s Boucher for me.  I think he’s incredibly underrated.
