Looking for a PG that's within reach.  Brunson is rock solid, not fantastic but 25 years old .365% career from three. 16 ppg and almost 6apg this year.

Only problem is he wants 4 years and 80 million for a contract. Hearing the man's aren't willing to go that high. But could the celtics and should we.

Really struggling to find a good PG fit in Boston Have always liked Brunson and he's really starting to hit his stride.  What say you guys on Brunson.

That’s pretty close to what the C’s could give him in the off-season via a S&T using the Fournier TPE ($74 million).  I’m pro-Brunson and I hope that happens.  I’d be less excited to pay a 1st for him now only to find out someone’s willing to go even higher than 4/80 in the summer because he’s unrestricted.

Would be 100% down. He's a really solid point guard. Doncic, as an MVP-calibre ball-handler, naturally dominates the ball when he is out there. But when Brunson plays without Doncic he averages 16.2PPG, 6.3APG and 3.5RPG on 48/37/78 shooting. He's absolutely rock solid.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I've proposed adding Brunson elsewhere. I think he has the makings of a top notch floor general and like others have said, he has been held back by playing with Doncic.

Absolutely loved Jalen at Villanova and, though many discount college careers, being a massive contributor in winning two national titles speaks a lot about his clutchness, leadership abilities and ability to perform at the highest levels.

I think he would explode upon the scene here in Boston. Get that sign and trade done to fit in that TPE. Two firsts and a swap and even throw in Yam Mader. I'm down for that.

Can we live with the hard cap if we do this as a sign and trade?

Yeah.  It’d probably require stretching Al rather than simply waiving him, but that seems likely with or without this move.

Absolutely, he's keeping the Mavericks offence afloat with Doncic out.

I like Brunson’s game. He just might be what the doctor ordered for this team.
