…and they all played team ball very hard most every game? And our wiz coach was listened to and we punched far above our weight as a team of underdogs? And we had a bunch of picks in the future, upcoming cap room, and the possibilities seemed endless?

Yeah, that was a lot better than this.

What changed? Well, we handed the keys to two of those draft picks…you fill in the rest…

Everything that went wrong since that season rivals the disastrous events that followed the '86 title.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Who died?

Nobody died.  Nothing as bad as losing Bias happened.

But, there’s been a lot of bad luck.  IT destroyed his hip in an MVP year.  Hayward — the perfect player for this team — broke his leg his first game here.  We traded a lottery pick for Kyrie, who got both injured and disgruntled.  Losing Kyrie (or IT) meant that the best laid plans to trade for Anthony Davis fell through.  Our premium draft picks from losing franchises (Sacramento, Memphis) turned into the 14th pick each season.

Bit of a lame title for a video that just shows we had some real real bad luck, but aside from that, the video has a pretty good history of things.
