For those wondering, here is the full breakdown of the incentives. Credit to ramblinwreck93 on Cs Reddit for the formatting:

Guaranteed Salary by Year
2022-23: $10.7M
2023-24: $11.6M
2024-25: $12.4M
2025-26: $13.3M

Fully guaranteed/No player option/No team option

Bonuses:
Bonus Condition A: $446K bonus if he plays at least 69 regular season games
Bonus Condition B: $223K bonus if Condition A is met and Boston makes the 2nd round of the playoffs
Bonus Condition C: $223K bonus if Condition A is met and Boston makes the ECF

Total availability bonuses per season: $892K

All-Defense Bonuses:
Additional bonuses for 1st Team All-Defense and 2nd Team All-Defense
Dollar figure not disclosed for these bonuses, but presumably up to ~$600K per season

Here’s hoping TimeLord get his full $54 million!

Yeah, for sure! I don't think anybody is going to complain about paying the extra $6M if the Cs at least make it to the ECF the next four years and TL is a perennial member of the All-Defense Team.

This looking better and better after each extension this fall. Gafford for 3 years and 40 million? Yikes.

I can’t say that I watched him play much, but Gafford’s per possession stats compare favorably to Timelord, and he’s a year younger / less experienced.

Don’t get me wrong. I like him, he’s just way less proven and experienced, which is saying something with Timelord’s injuries.

Minus the passing and mid-range shooting, of course.  And also for more guaranteed per year.

Also without the chronic injuries, and the extension kicks in in two years, so it will be less relative to a future cap.

Both are a gamble on projected value.

45 minutes last night.

If he stays relatively healthy, this contract could be the best deal in the league.

If.

Absolutely. I'll be the first one to admit that he doesn't look quite as explosive to open the year, perhaps because of his knee tendonitis. But even still, given the things he did on the court last night, you could be looking at either a starter on a contending team or the next Al Jefferson-like centerpiece in the team's next deal for a star.

His defence on Randle was really solid. Wish the move had come earlier, because we would have won the game then, but nonetheless

I also think Randle being tired and not longer worrying about Rob getting into foul trouble may have been why we saw the switch later in the game.   With no Horford and clearly not wanting to let the other bigs play defense, they may have been trying to protect Rob from fouls.

That's true. [dang]ed if you do, [dang]ed if you don't. Hopefully Al is back soon.
