Carmelo Anthony to the Lakers.

Looks like the superfriends are all in Lakers. LeBron, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony.

Might as well call Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh back from retirement and join LA.

And where in the world are the Lakers getting all these money. They signed like 7 or 8 guys already while Brad only made 2 signings... ::)

And Malik Monk to the Lakers per Woj.

ouch

Ariza, melo and Dwight are all running on fumes. So there signing did not worry me at all. This signing is weird and a very strong one for them though. Couldn’t monk have gotten a significant contract somewhere?

Not sure if this is sarcastic but to start the off season, the Laker had literally 7 players under contract.  They traded 3 of them for Westbrook, so they really started with 5, so yes, they have to sign a lot of players.  The Celtics had 13 under contract.  They lost Caruso and Drummond (two reasonably decent players) but have signed 4 min players plus now Monk (not sure his deal) and Anthony.  This team could contend for a title or if James/Davis have injuries, could be an absolute train wreck.

Do you really want to be the Lakers?

I suspect it includes Markkanen also.  Thad Young at $14M is not enough to trade for DeRozan at $28M I don't think.

Didn't they have cap space.  TPE as well maybe.

The official deal being reported is Thad Young ($14m), Al-Farouq Aminu ($10.1m), 1st round pick, and a 2 2nd round picks for Derozan. Solid haul for San Antonio.
