Free agents can officially begin negotiating with teams on Monday, Aug. 2, at 6 p.m. ET, and they can sign contracts on Friday, Aug. 6, at 12:01 p.m. ET.

This is the time line that I have seen reported.  I think a thread for only official signings is a good idea, just probably won't be much to report for a bit.

The Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry will agree to a four-year, $215 million contract extension as the offseason begins.

Wow, $215mil for just 4 years. Contracts sure have skyrocketed.

yeah, that is just mind blowing.  he will be making 53+mil a year, a $9 million raiser per year over what he was making.

does 18 mil for EF seem that horrible in comparison?  IE Curry will make more than 35 million a year MORE than EF.

how much tax are GS willing to pay?  Their payroll was $161,808,101 in 21/22

Warriors ownership seem willing to pay a big luxury tax.  They print a little more money than the C’s do, but the disparity in tax bills going forward are what have some here frustrated with what presumably is the budget set by the team.

Not a signing but Miami have officially declined Iggy's $15mil team option for this season making Iggy an unrestricted FA.

Iggy will be a good target for someone as a bench player if on a more reasonable salary figure this time around. I was shocked by how much Miami paid him last time. Possible Celtics target maybe. Golden State will probably make a run at a reunion. Probably LA Lakers, Clippers & Brooklyn Nets as well.

It'll be interesting to see where he ends up.

Can we keep this thread to announcements only and the other one to discussion? It’s easier to track what gets done that way.
