Went on BBReference and noticed Bruno Fernando's full name:

Bruno Afonso David Fernandes Fernando

That's a mouthful.

BAD FF!

Sounds like we could have gotten Delon Wright for TT??
Maybe, but we would have either had to use our bigger TPE or not get a future TPE, right? Brad might prefer the flexibility.

Ironically, pretty sure I suggested a swap of TT for Delon Wright somewhere not too long ago :P

Hawk's fans don't seem to be all that broken up over the loss of Fernando, so I'm going to assume he's hot garbage. Getting rid of Tristan might be good enough on it's own merit. If Dunn is our Teague replacement and 3rd point off the bench, I'm good with the deal. The roster is starting to look a lot more balanced.

Smart/Pritchard/Dunn
Fournier/Nesmith
Brown/Langford
Tatum/______/Grant
Timelord/Horford/Brown

I like the rotation if we can get a better backup for Tatum. Nance would be heaven sent, maybe we can get it done with a couple 2nds and the TPE.

Hollinger reporting that this creates  a new 9.25 million TPE for the Celtics:

How many TPEs can one team get!
We used two small ones that were expiring and created one mid-level size that should run for another year and saved $3MM in salary to spend elsewhere. Dunn's an elite defender and was 2nd in the whole NBA in defensive RAPTOR in 2019-20. IF Dunn's healthy, this is a very good deal.

In any case, our defense is much stronger than at the end of the season with Horford and Dunn.

Great, another TPE that likely won't ever get used.

Will Fournier sign with us?? If he don’t, we need a scorer to help Tatum & Brown
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I think resigning him is a must because I can't see us doing better.

Beal is a pipe dream at this point.

Dont' have a lot of negative feelings about Tristan, but I will say that he is definitely going down as one of the Celtics for whom I have felt the least during his time here.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Not loving this trade. Thompson was a starting caliber big and he was one of the few guys that played with any toughness in the playoffs. Timelord is injury prone Moses Brown is unproven. Dunn has been an overall bust and Fernando is a project player as well. So as of now the C’s have Parker, Dunn, Moses Brown, Fernando, Edwards, Grant, Waters, Begaran, Nadar and Tacko all of who are project players. That’s not good.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah, Fernando was traded just to make the salaries work for the Hawks and Kings.  I don’t expect him to suit up for the C’a next year.
