Westbrook would be a terrible fit next to LeBron.

It's also basically impossible from a cap POV.  It would have to be a sign and trade with Schroder, Harrell (who would have to opt in to his player option) and Kuzma, plus I assume a ton of draft capital that LA doesn't have because of the AD trade.

I suppose Washington could be stupid or desperate.

Yeah, I mean, the Lakers just don't have anything to trade in terms of salary, picks or prospects. Westbrook is making 44 million a year. How the heck do they come anywhere close to matching that?

I read that the Cavs are trying to cut salary and Nance fits nicely into our exception.

He's not worth the opportunity cost of taking on his contact. I see the potential fit but only in a follow up move to landing a big fish

Opportunity cost? He probably costs a heavily protected 1st rounder. And that is it.

If a trade for a major star happens mid season or next off-season, having Nance and his rights will only add more assets to talk about in a trade.

His contract is really quite minimal, and he's a really solid forward. I would be absolutely fine with using the TPE on Nance

The Celtics are adding former Mississippi State forward Aric Holman to their summer league roster, according to sources.

Holman spent last season with Ratiopharm Ulm, averaging 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds over 54 games. He shot 39.4% from 3 on 2.4 attempts per game.

I could see a starting five of Horford, Nance, Tatum, Brown, Smart.

His contact has two years left so we wouldn't be able to offer a max next summer. I only give that up for an All Star player to pair with the Jays now... that's not Nance
