My guess is if the Knicks want him they can have him for a future first rounder.

If the Knicks were willing to give up a 1st for Kemba, we would be talking about Kemba in NY and our new huge TPE. We would be up a 1st, rather than down a 1st...net gain of two 1sts. It's not like Al is an incredible value at $41M guaranteed on the books.

I can't imagine OKC doesn't keep him through the year. Kemba would have to be going off in the early part of the year for OKC to move him at the deadline for any value. As others have mentioned, it's way more likely they take on a longer deal next offseason for another 1st than them getting any actual value for Kemba. I love Kemba, but he has nowhere near the cache of a CP3.
