Defense really a problem for Kanter.

Yeah, our interior D with him on the floor has been awful

Saw some good things in that first half.  Defense is clearly a work in progress though, and will likely be a weakness all year.

Man, Kanter is really having trouble with the stretch bigs.

Yeah, Kanter not having a great defensive showing tonight, at all. May be the reason that you have to go with Timelord starting and playing a bigger role and just deal with the developmental speedbumps in the early parts of the season.

Ya, I gotta say our  big situation is kind of a mess. Kanter is probably or best C, but his main strength is on the offensive end where we have decent options. Theis might be the bets stretch big option, but if he's as slow laterally as he was last year thats not a great option. Williams may be our best on the roster hope.

Also, we have like no real PF's no its not like we have a great Small ball center option unless you want Jaylen or Hayward playing center.

Not bad offensively in the first half, especially with Kemba, Gordon and JT on the floor. I’m hoping for a better defensive effort in the 2nd half, that’s what they need to work on.

Is it me or does Tatum look like he’s not under Kyrie’s shadow anymore? Looks like 2018 playoff Tatum only stronger, and more assertive. Like he knows he’s the man.

Brown looked good too in short 2nd quarter stint.

If Kanter doesn’t get any offensive boards, get him out of there. Poor D. More Rob Williams and Poirier please.

Edwards and Grant will get decent PT this season.

He definitely looks much more assertive and confident out there. I'm just hoping he doesn't start the jumpshot chucking stuff again.

Ya I don't know, he still looked good defensively and its not like he's ever been lightning quick. I am going to be very interested in watching his shooting this year, he's been basically a 30% shooter in his career then jumped to 36.4% last year. Was it an aberration or can he maintain a 35% threat?

And we'll see on Ttum, I don't think assertiveness is really his problem. Even last year. I think problems getting to and finishing at the rim is a bigger deal for his development.

But Ainge made up for it when he got Carsen in the 2nd round.
