What NBA star does he look like in the way he moves?

Because he looks like Stephen Curry playing at Davidson to me.

What is Stephen Curry without the elite volume shooting?

What is James Harden without the foul drawing?

What is Giannis without the eurostep or spin move?

I low key loved this pick. It's a long play but if he works out he's a solid get in the mid-2nd round.

Stephen Curry with high level guard defence and elite passing still sounds like a really good player to me.

That's what I'm asking. I will say that, regardless of Jay Bilas' ridiculous Pat Beverly comparison, I haven't seen much in the way of actual scouts that indicate he projects to be a great defender. He's pesky, but he's still a mismatch -- much like Curry is.

Obviously he's no where near the player Curry is now in any abilities, but the way they move is uncanny and you can see the strengths he has developing.

I'll also say that I love his shooting form. It's a little inconsistent, but I think it projects very well in the NBA.

Why don’t we wait until the off-season actually finishes before calling it a failure? This happens literally every year when Danny doesn’t pick a certain posters binkie

Yes. Especially if you didn’t even know who this guy was before draft night! It’s the 47th pick. This is a lottery ticket that cashes in very rarely. In recent years, they’ve found Theis, Baynes, and Wanamaker abroad - two good NBA players and one reasonable backup. They’ve also found Poirier and Yabu, who... were neither. But can we wait and see who this guy turns out to be? Definitely ppl who scout him as having good NBA potential.

I'm actually very impressed with his defence - being able to play this sort of pesky defence for entire games against opposing guards brings value, and his frame isn't really undersized for a PG (6'2 barefoot with a plus wingspan). If he can bulk up he can become a very good guard defender in the future.

His shot actually does look a bit like Curry's - one motion type. *EDIT: Actually no, it's two motions, maybe looks a bit like Zach Lavine's shot?

His military respect (no, let's not talk about Palestine) augurs well for a team-player/hard worker.

I like the pick. Is there already an agreement in place that he will stay at Hapoel this year?

ok who else in the NBA has a last name that starts with the last letter of the first name?

Rob Brown?

Larry Young?

Lance Edwards?  that one feels like cheating...luckily no Lance Edwards in the league...

I wouldn't want to count BJ Jones either...if it came up.

Edit:  Marcus Smart

Edit 2:  Aaron Nesmith

Seems like an interesting prospect. I'll keep an eye on him overseas.

interesting observation.  I can see where you are coming from.  Even down to the underhand rocket passes.

It wouldn't surprised me if Yam tries to emulate Curry style/game.   His jump shot will likely never be as good. But from the recent highlights, his jump shot looks good.   Something that was kind of considered a weakness last season

I think you may have just volunteered to start the Yam 2021 game thread.
