I see a lot of folks on here just pining away for Ime. I personally don't think he's any better as a coach than Joe. Ime hasn't done much with his Rockets team. I also don't think that Joe would ever let the team down in the way Ime did. If this year ends in Banner 18 then Ime becomes just a small footnote in Celtics history. He'll join John Carroll and Tom Sanders as only the third one year coaches in Celtics history.

For some, the grass is always greener. Fire Joe, until there's another coach to scapegoat.

Houston are having a very good season.

Both Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr have shown major signs of improvement under Ime. Dillon Brooks is having the best season of his career.

Houston has already won more games this year than they did all of last year.  Not sure this thread has any merit.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Houston is 23-29. Their roster is full of talent. I don't think we can say that Houston doesn't have top tier talent. Jalen Green is supremely talented, but can he be a winner in the NBA?

They are young, talented, and Ime has time to develop this squad. I'm sure he won't be fired when they have a losing record this year.

They are still closer to the cellar than contender. Heck, Will Hardy is winning more with less talent.

Yeah, I think Hardy is the better coach.

With much more talent. Houston should be a playoff team with that roster...

I agree. Rockets are now 6 games under .500 with a much improved roster over the one they had last year. Their defense is good not great, offense is poor. He’s very overrated, IMO.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

That's all I'm saying.

Joe would never quit on the Celtics the way Ime did. Here's my list of people who just quit on the Celtics: Kyrie, Ime, Ray Allen, and Mark Blount.

For some reason, Ime is held in high regard after what he did (harassed a Celtics employee) and given the benefit of a doubt by some.

Not only harassed but continued to do so after he was warned.

The reality is there will never be a coach here that satisfies anyone lol.

Brad Stevens was ridiculed too. Ime was as well, lets not act like it was all rainbows in his one year here. Even if they fired Joe and hired Cassell, there'd be "fire Cassell" threads posted here ASAP
