Well, maybe things will take a turn for the better for the Celts and make things easier for you.

I'm Jewish and I try to keep kosher for passover every year.  This means no bread, pasta, things with leavening etc...I make an exception for beer.   ;)

I usually eat pretty well that week.  Try to avoid matzah as much as possible because it's like cement mix in the belly.

just like clam chowder
 ;D

you must be speaking of Manhattan Clam Chowder.  Surely you would not speak ill of New England Chowder.

Them's fightin' words  >:(

Gave up soda.

I don't drink a ton of it to begin with but have a serious fondness for ginger ale and I usually have an afternoon Mountain Dew.  I know it's wicked bad for you but it's soooo good.

This is my busy season at work right now  so its been real tough not being to have an MD  when I feel my afternoon fade coming.

Yuk.  The only time in my whole life that I got drunk was on my 21st birthday....Fresca and Old Thompson.  I am now  almost 66 and to this day the smell of Fresca makes me sick!  ::)

Through Holy Thursday?  Why not through Easter Sunday?

At any rate, you have inspired me to give up....reading your negative posts; if you are successful, I will be, too  ;) .(And I am going to try to walk 10,000 steps a day).

It's my understanding that Lent lasts through Holy Thursday.  That's what it says on Wikipedia, anyhow.  :P

Nobody's forcing you to read my posts any time of the year, by the way.  If you want to gloss over the posts on the forums that cover subject matter you find unpleasant, you're free to do so.

p.s. are you really going to count to 10,000 every day?

Actually, lent starts from Ash Wednesday to Black Saturday. that's forty days not counting Sundays (which is technically fasting day to begin with). That's afaik from our lessons in Catholic school, but that was years ago. here's an explanation http://catholicism.about.com/od/holydaysandholidays/f/Counting_Lent.htm

lots of Barbecue, that’s what I do on Passover.
only way I eat matzah is dipped in my chicken soup.
Happy Passover!
