I recently posted about last years Morris coming to training camp late after a summer trial.Add to this all new teammates and a collection of nagging injuries to a player that was sort of an iron man.I thought he could become most improved player on team coming in fit and relaxed. He played that way opening night.
Rozier was just as good. What if Morris has a Brad Stevens breakout season and Rozier continues to dazzle and becomes a media darling?
What are the options for these three above?
Will draft have any bearing?
Do we sign and trade?
I hate the thought of players just walking especially Rozier as we Drafted and groomed him.
Friday night should be telling as Kyrie said Jurassic Park

Theis didn't do much on Tuesday, but he's still getting his game legs under him and CBS is being careful with his minutes.  Once he gets going, the BWA group of Baynes, Morris, Theis, Rozier, and Smart is going to be legendary.  Celts are simply going to wear down teams with waves of fresh defenders and shooters.

rollie, I'm not thinking beyond this season.

That's exactly my hope. Man, Simmons looked tired at the end of the last game.

Nothing that we saw last game, of course, has much impact on what these guys will look like mid-season, so I'm not worried about the slow start for a few players.

I don't think Theis s going to have a huge role on this team this season. We roll 9 deep without him and the best way to get everyone minutes is to stick with those 9 players and not roll deeper unless someone is getting the day off. So Theis is probably gone long term. As for Morris and Rozier it would be nice to have them back, but financial constraints means they are probably one. Luckily we will have as many as three draft picks (2 likely lottery) to find and groom replacements. That seems the most likely route for replacing the production.. I think its also possible we resign Rozier and ship out Smart next summer.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
I think Theis will be the 10 who gets 10 minutes a night. He will play!!!

Underrated storyline of the season: Marcus Morris is playing to get paid.

I think if you start thinking "what if" and "next year" then you're just asking to get upset.  Sit back and enjoy this year.  And, trust in Danny.

Hopefully he doesn’t shoot more than he did last year.  We have a lot of weapons this year and they need their shots.

Yeah. Hopefully he understands that he's going to make his name as a versatile stopper who can also make shots when called upon, like game 1 when Kyrie was cold.
