Looks like my guess is correct

Woj on ESPN SportsCenter (TV) live right now:

- Boston's offer is very fluid built around Brown and future trade draft picks

- Hope is to lure Kyrie back by parterning him up with AD

- Tatum is not in the offer but if Ainge makes him available deal could be done

- Griffin is very close to Danny Ainge, they worked together in Phoenix

well so much for Danny not including Jaylen...ugg

I think he means replacing Brown with Tatum.

Or I hope.

I prefer keeping Tatum. Like his ceiling better. Would give them all the picks they wanted to leave him out.

I am just the opposite.  I think Brown fits way better with AD.

Told some of you folks that .... it could be Brown instead of Tatum

Kyme likes Tatum and Smart

If Celts really want to keep Kyme, no point of trading those close to him
Very good point

AD is good friend with kyrie

Tatum is also close to kyrie

not a better situation in the world for him

If he gets it done without Tatum,  its worth the risk even if Kyrie leaves and Ad leave.

but it can't just be Brown and picks though, how does that work for the money anyways?

I think before some of us get excited

lets not forget Woj has never been accurate relating to Celtics business

even Hayward trade was first announced by Chris Haynes

outside of Celts news and draft stuff I believe Woj, thats it

Funny how it's soooooo obvious that AD will sign in LA next year no matter what... and yet here are the Lakers, offering up two of their top draft picks and another #4 just to get him right now... THAT'S why I don't buy this garbage from AD's camp. If it were a forgone conclusion he'd be in purple & gold next year then they wouldn't bother to trade for him now and give up assets. Heck, trade those same assets for Mike Conley, if you know you'll sign AD! Or some other player to bring in a title. Lakers are desperate to be relevant on the court and Lebron is putting pressure on Rich Paul and the LA office to get it done.

Very good post. If they are so sure just wait another year and get him for free.

Lebron driven, wanting to avoid another wasted season for the old guy?

If Griffin or someone near him is whispering to Woj ears about potential workings with Ainge

If I were Ainge, I would tell Griffing to F off

So if we get him without Tatum, another plus for Kyrie staying  as he is close with Tatum. If we somehow end up with Tatum, Davis, Kyrie, Horford and Hayward as our starting five I will be blown away.  Not to mention beyond pumped!

Fear that Lakers four somehow parlays into a star is the biggest fear now. Cannot wait for the cards to be shown and winner crowned! Celtics have kept things so close to vest and really shows the difference between a classy, well run organization to one that is reminiscent of the National Enquirer.

HOLY **** I went on NBA Reddit to see what they were saying, and one of the first posts was a Woj tweet saying they (Lakers) got AD for just Ingram, #4 and Hart. Gave me a mini-heart attack as I also saw 100+ comments under that post thinking it was real (but it was NOT real and now it's deleted lol)

lol that was probably from notable Sports Twitter troll Barry McCockiner.  He changed his name to Woj to say that the Pels traded AD to the Lakers and Rick Fox retweeted it.  He pulled a similar stunt a few months ago saying that Antonio Brown was traded to the Bills.

Oh yeah I know that guy. He's a LEGEND lol. A great troll but also puts out some funny videos.

Disagree.  It shows Danny isnt willing to risk throwing Tatum in with Kyrie leaving.  If he keeps Tatum, he still has a number 1 to build around if AD walks.

Wow, if this is true it just shows you the value of our assets compared to theirs. That Brown (the 2016 #3 pick) and some future draft picks (likely including the Memphis pick) is looked at as similar value to Ingram (2016 #2 pick), Ball (2017 # 2 pick), and this year’s #4 pick is incredible. The fact that including Tatum would also be a deal-maker for NOLA shows that he is also hugely valued across the league.

Honestly, while Tatum might have the higher ceiling of the two, I think Brown fits better at the 2 with this group and will likely cost less long-term. If including Tatum meant you could likely keep both Brown AND the Memphis pick, I think you have to do it, especially if you think that getting AD would lead to Kyrie re-signing. A lineup of Kyrie, Brown, Hayward, Horford, abd Davis would be scary.

That said, I do wonder if Kyrie’s relationship with Tatum matters here, as Kyrie seems closer to Tatum than Brown, with both being Dukies.
