I dont think you guys understand how much the Cs are going to miss GH. He was having an all-star season. The offense was running through him.
I think people know that, but at the same time, Kemba has had an offense run through him his entire career.

We won't be as good without him, but IMO we're going to be fine.

I'm sure that if we beat the Mavs tomorrow, the narrative will quickly change back to "trade Gordon"

Keith Smith said preliminary x Ray was 4th metatarsal break (ring finger bone in hand) that typically requires 3 weeks in sling and 2 weeks rehab.

That stinks. But if that’s the prognosis.. he’ll be back before the new year.

If there are two things I can't stand its people asking "are the c's better off without really good player x?" after a couple wins without x, and people asking "will player x returning ruin our flow?"

The Cs are certainly better so far without Player X from last year...

If anything, Hayward was the X factor between reaching and potentially winning banner 18 two years ago than Hayward taking away shots from Tatum and Brown.

Sure, but only because the Celtics replaced him with player Y who replaces 95% of his production with 100% better chemistry.

so any ideas how Brad shuffles the rotations?
does Smart start?  I assume so.
It’s very likely that Smart starts, there is no reason to think otherwise. Judging from the recent rotations I tend to think that Williams and Green will get more minutes now, they both seem to have surpassed Semi on the depth chart. Romeo may see some time too, it’s pointless to recall him from Maine if he’s just going to ride the bench.

This is a setback yet, the Celtics have the team that can sustain through this. They gotta go big once Kanter gets back. Kemba/Jaylen/Tatum/Theis/Kanter. They will have to adapt their playing style but it could be beneficial in the long run.

The latest on hayward is we should know fairly soon.  Say you're prayers now, before the news hits.

Any people with experience from this field here - is this better or worse? Maybe it shortens the recovery time?

I don't know anything, but thought we heard surgery would shorten recovery time...so hopefully more in that 4-5 week window. But who knows anymore?
