Well considering he could simply walk and leave the Pacers with nothing, at least they might get something useful out of it. The Pacers have no leverage at all..

This is one of the more intriguing things I've seen for the 3 this off-season.

But in reading the story, it sounds like he'd rather go to Orlando.

Cs would have to be sending money and a pick to make this worth it to the Pacers unless they really like Giddens or Walker and one of them goes with Scal.  The Pacers are also a few million below lux tax line and there is no way they go over for the sake of this deal.   So the logical deal may be TA (who gets bought out for $1.3M or so as with vet min resigning somewhere he can make up his complete salary), Pruitt (who gets cut before August 1st and costs nothing), 2010 #1 pick, and $1.3M or so in cash to cover TA for Daniels at around $3.5-$4.0M.  The Pacers only carry an additional $1.3M on their roster (which the Cs cover for actual cost) not going over lux tax line and get a first round pick out of it.
