I like Rivera, but I honestly don't think coaching has been their problem so much as the GM. So does Rivera come with a good group on that end is the most important thing.

You know who the originator of the saying "There is nowhere to go but up?"

I honestly thought that our Boston Celtics were in a bad way until the Summer of 2007.

I'm still waiting for that SAME feeling for my Washington Redskins....hopefully starting this upcoming season.

So it's official now I guess.

Bruce Allen is out and Rivera is in.

Sad to see Bruce go but things weren't happening....time to go in another direction. Hopefully Rivera is the start of that.

No looking back....the past IS the past.

No need to clean the roster...there are MANY fine players still there..young AND old. Keep MOST - if not ALL of them.

Build on what we have NOW.

Try to repair broken relationships (Trent Williams).

Get the FANS back.

No one is asking for a 16-0 record and a Championship next year. But when you COMPETE good things happen most of the time.

Things won't happen over night but take it ONE GAME at a time.

The Washington Redskins are NOT dead - just in a LONG hibernation.

Time to WAKE UP.
Not sure if you have ESPN+ GF, but there is a major leading story about the Skins and their recent dysfunctionality on it.

Yeah I saw it...like taking the bandaid off a gaping wound, pouring purple and gold salt into it and THEN locking me in a room and forcing me to watch NBA Finals replays from 86-87.

Seriously. ;D

Garrett has to go from Dallas. What I think that that really talent ladened Cowboy team needs is someone who has been there before, someone that can handle star QBs and is a proven winner. I think if Mike McCarthy went there and brought Joe Philbin with him, that would make a huge difference in Big D.
Nailed it!!!

Reports are that their plan is to hire a GM AFTER the draft.

Thats the epitome of the reason why the Redskins are the way they are.  They usually dont have a real GM and when they do, they have no real power behind the scenes, despite what they say to the media.

Is there any reason to believe that itll be different with whoever they hire here?  Especially considering they dont care to include him in the decision making in the upcoming draft.

Panthers – Hired Baylor’s Matt Rhule
Giants – Finalizing deal with Patriot’s wide receiver coach Joe Judge

That leaves the Browns with the only remaining head coaching vacancy. Josh McDaniels is scheduled to interview on Friday. He was scheduled to interview with the Panthers and Giants too, before they made their hires. I hope McDaniels losses out on the Browns’ job, and never gets a head coaching job in the NFL, after the disgusting way he left the Colts.

Yeesh, the Giants get stuck with a total nobody for HC. How the mighty have fallen when somehow teams like Washington and Carolina are more appealing than what once was one of the most prestigious jobs in the league.

Apparently, the 'Dave Gettleman Effect' is real.

They wanted Rhule and panicked when he got hired out from under them.

He has to be like his mentor Bill who did it TWICE to the J-E-T-S!

I don’t know much about Judge, or what his full responsibilities with the Patriots were, but it’s not like he distinguished himself with the WRs this year.

Maybe it was panic but it also seems like nobody worth their salt actually wanted the Giants job.
