I was digging through a box of really old stuff of mine and found this painting I did of Dave Cowens when I was about 10 years old.

The number is either smudged or I got him confused with Nellie (I'm giving myself the benefit of the doubt!)

Yup

The "Mona Lisa" has nothing on that masterpiece.

Yeh, not really sure what was going on there.  Maybe a little removable strip for toilet going convenience?

I found some pretty crazy stuff today, including a book my mother kept for my first year of life.

That is the single greatest portrait of Dave Cowens I have ever seen.

Thread of year nominee.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Redz...  I'd hate to see your drawing of Greg Kite.  ;)

i used to draw great portraits of tennessee vs alabama football games in 2nd grade back in the 60's when both teams wore their home jerseys against each other - when you are a kid, those colors are magical. still are really.

i also remember rigging up a regular basketball rim & net in my garage at about 5' high and playing with a small beach ball. that was 5th grade and i was always russell and my buddy was always chamberlain - i'll never forget those abc sunday afternoon games we would copy.

have you considered putting it on Ebay? I bought a painting done by a turtle for a 100 bucks, so anything is possible...I'd drop 20 for that work of art
