Wait Orlando lost to Toronto at home? What is going on with the Raptors? I thought they'd be in serious tank mode by now but it seems they've won every game they've played recently.

yes...calderon was hot....they made some big shots down the stretch and won by 4...orlando now faces cleveland friday...at atlanta saturday and then at houston

Be careful what we wish for (#2 seed) ... 'cuz we might get the Pistons!   >:(

We might not! They got blown out by the Nets tonight. This means that Chicago is only a half of a game back. Also Miami just lost to Dallas. So Philly could easily get to be the 5 seed they are currently percentage points ahead of Miami.

I'd rather avoid D-Whistle in the playoffs!

Tony was going to go in the game when it looked like the Bobcats were going to pull away. Then House hit two shots and he went back to the bench. It looks like Doc wants to use Garbage time for Tony at the moment.

They played hack a Howard and it worked. This contained much of what Orlando wanted to do.

He had 21 free throw attempts and only made ten.

Oh OK thanks.10-21 yikes! Ironic that Mark Jackson is harping right now on ESPN how great Howard is saying the only thing Yao is better at is scoring. Bet the Magic would have liked to have Yao's FT shooting tonight.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Yeah, good call on the FTs.  And I bet they wouldn't mind having Yao's fanbase too.

  • Let's Go Celtics
I didn't see the game so I don't know if we had any time outs, but I like Doc not calling one on that last possession.  Also a great read and dish by Pierce.

The fact that Ray had just airballed one made that shot that much more clutch.  Every shooter is a little shaken after an airball, all of a sudden the next possession he has another 3 for the win.  I've said this a lot before but watching him shoot jumpers in the sweetest thing in the game and my favorite thing in sports besides watching Tiger hit a golf ball.  He's been the most maligned of the Big 3 since they've been put together, but he's hit the most clutch shots out of any of them.  Thank you Jesus!
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Bobcats will be hungry and confident from beating the Fakers, plus they are still in the hunt for a playoff spot...

Let's beat them with a Ray Allen shot again:

What a game! Ray is definitely killing the Bobcats everytime he plays them, not only did he get the clutch shot to win the 2OT but he hit two of them before to tie the game! Amazing!

Nice win. 8)

The biggest concern I've had about this team's play is its unfocused approach, kind of a "well, whatever" game face - which includes heart. As recently as the second and third quarters last night, nothing had changed.

But at the end of the ballgame and in OT, I saw focus - and heart. If it continues, then we have a nice psychological foundation to go into the playoffs. It will take health along with that to make a long run in the playoffs, but it's a start.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."
