Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.... a strained oblique? Ugh, that could linger...

OMG HE'S BRINGING EFFING KYRIE BACK IN...

Like, what in the hell is wrong with Brad?! It's a 14 point game in the 4th with 9 mintues to go in a meaningless game!!

This may be the dumbest thing he’s ever done I’m serious...
I don’t think he’s the right coach to win it all.

I mean, he literally rested both Kyrie and Al in Brooklyn when we were still trying to secure the 4th seed, essentially conceding that game to them.

Now, he goes back to Kyrie and Haywad playing major minutes in a literally meaningless game, that we are down double digits in halfway through the fourth quarter, and that we've already lost two starters in. WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?!

It's like virtually everything he does is arbitrary and there's no logic to it, which is a pretty [dang]ing issue for someone who is heralded for his intellect.

(P.S. - even if we come back and win this game with no further injuries, this is still an incredible dumb decision.)

That’s the craziest part... he’s rested these guys in games that matter. Why care now?

According to some very quick internet research: A strained oblique can take 1-2 weeks to recover from. A severe strain can take 4-6 weeks to recover from.

The Celtics likely open the playoffs one week from today.

Ughhh. Of course this will depend on  Smart's specific situtation, but doesn't look good.

It's completely dumb that we're still playing our guys in this given the context - especially given that Brad is only halfway trying to win this game without playing Al or Baynes - but at least they're showing some heart here down the stretch.
