RealGM says the Bobcats would be interested (a little thin at the wing), but would Larry Brown like Larry Hughes (and vice versa)?

Interesting.  Would like the C's to look at him.

We have two roster spots might as well put them to good use.

CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I don't see it.  Too many chemistry issues, both personality and minutes-wise.  Nate's not taking minutes away from anyone left on the team, but getting Hughes would at the least lead to a very disgruntled Daniels and TA.  And he wouldn't help our offensive efficiency at all - he's hasn't even broken 41% from the field in the last 7 seasons.  Add personality issues and questionable work ethic and I can't see us taking a shot at him.

last thing Celtics need is a backup to a backup SG/SF who can't shoot. Its counterproductive. Plus this guy sucks. Hoping for a Raja Bell buyout.

I agree. I only want to mess with TA or Daniels minutes if the C's can land an upgrade in size or shooting ability.

Someone the other night on the buyouts thread pointed out that LH dated PP's girlfriend. Not sure how ubuntu would be affected by that.

  • Rondo = Good
If Larry Hughes could shoot 50% from 3 like he does for me in 2k10, then sure, I'd say hell yes go get him.  Since in real life he actually can't score without taking a million shots, I say no thanks.

That could be a problem haha. For the reasons stated earlier (poor shooting, lazy, injury prone), I can't see us going after him. If we were going to go out and sign another wing player, I would think it would be a shooter. Or at least I hope.

girlfriend aside, before his year in Boston I would've called James Posey pretty lazy. it's amazing what playing for a contender can do for a player's motivation.

Good point. But one thing we knew we were getting from him was championship experience, we saw what he did for the Heat the year they won it, and knew we could use him. Granted, Hughes hasn't played on a lot of contenders, he hasn't proven to me that he can make a positive impact on a team like ours.

I don`t think he is a good fit here. His skill set is similar to Marquis and TA...

We need a SG/SF who can hit the three...
