Obvious solution for this team - trade Irving + Draft Picks for Anthony Davis.

The team does not play as hard or cohesively with Irving as they do without him and a team usually needs a Top 5 player to win titles.
Subtract Irving and Add Davis = Perfect Team.

Plus, we don't have to wait til summer to re-sign Irving to acquire Davis.

Win, Win, Win, Danny !!!!

you're speculating. we do not know if that would work.  we certainly hope it would like now with kyrie.

My preferred method would be to convince NO that Terry Rozier is demi-god at home as a starter so that'd guarantee them a minimum of 41 wins, then sign & trade Terry, Brown, picks and filler. Then we'd have our Kyrie+Tatum+Hayward+Horford+Davis core that gets 4 consecutive 82-0 seasons and banners 18, 19, 20, 21.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I like the pace that Terry creates when he starts. He's a much different player as a starter.

Rozier is also better at home than on the road.

yup ....all the young guys are .   Got to be able to take your best game with you on the road.  KG and PP loved killing their crowds. Kyrie plays good on the road ..star trait

Id rather trade certain fans than any of our players.

More like win, win, win Tenn smoothie. Any plan that gets Kyrie out of Boston is win win for you. The idea of getting AD is to add him to Kyrie.

For me as well!  But hey, Davis with another monster tonight: 34 points (12-of-15 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), 26 rebounds (franchise record), four assists, three blocks, two 3-pointers, one steal and one turnover.

except ....Davis is never coming without Irving here.  Irving is most of the reason AD might thumb his nose at the Whiner and his faker club

I think what’s going to happen with this team is, if everyone is playing, they will have to have bit part contributions as they just won’t get the same volume of shots as they would with players out. E.g. Haywards role tonight was much more similar to his role in Utah, he took 18 shot attempts tonight he’s not taking that many if kyrie is there and Morris was playing in 2nd half. Tatum only took 9 shot attempts for 8 points. We have to be realistic that there’s too many players for everyone to score big all the time. More important for me than Gordon’s overall point total was his efficiency he was 14-18 vs 0-6 against the Spurs. And defensively he was a lot better for the most part.

His next challenge is to string multiple decent games together and find a way to impact the game when he doesn’t have the opportunity to take 18 shots.

A trade proposal in a game thread involving two players who didn't even play isn't quite on topic in the first place.

A team also usually needs a strong to elite scoring guard to win in the modern era, lie Curry, Kobe, Wade, Allen, Tony Parker or Rip Hamilton. We only have one of those, who has already won a ring. Makes no sense to move him when we can likely offer younger and more attractive pieces to a rebuilding team for AD
