Please...no more expensive point guards
Please...no more wings fighting over shots

Just somehow, some way by hook or crook...build a front court

An above average center, but, ultimately match him with a power forward who plays defense and can score.

Brown and Tatum with the above and a point guard who is just happy to be here will be aok.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker.

They are not on the level of Anthony Davis because of their defense (or lack of it), but they are the closest to being the next superstars of this league, and they are in situations where they might be impatient and force a move.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

I don't think this is a post-kyrie superstar suggestion, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sabonis can be obtained from Indiana. I read somewhere that there's frustration that he can't play along side Myles Turner and they don't want to pay him to be a back-up center. He's a pretty smart player who could take up the slack as Horford ages out.
What would the price for Sabonis be? The 14the pick plus yabu?

I think it would be a lot more than that, but I would be SO stoked to get Sabonis as a long term center.  He does so many good things that the Celts need.

Brown Tatum Sabonis would be a nice place to build from, even if that's probably not going to win you a title.

i'd love this!

IMO....it will be Kyrie/LeBron and Davis teaming up in LA...Bron's boy Griffin is running things in New Orleans now.

Hate to use the term Book It...but, Book it.

According to this, if the Lakers were to trade for AD, they wouldn't have cap space for a max free agent because AD would absorb their cap space.

Also, I think a trade package of Smart, either Brown or Tatum, R.Williams, filler and draft picks is better than a package of Ball, Kuzma and draft picks in an AD trade. Besides, last February Ball's camp expressed that Ball did not want to play in NO because they already have a point in Jrue Holliday.

I don't think Indiana does this.

As frustrating as it is. There probably will not be an immediate target.
If Beal price is coming down maybe him.
If the bucks lose in the finals ... overpay their role players to bring them back and lose again next year .... I can se Giannis be the target. When he will be a FA we might have clean books ... no Horford and no Hayward in 2 years... with 2 young up and coming stars and 2-3 young role players under team control.
I don’t see the need to get someone unless we can get two or even 3 stars at the same time ..
If wizards , pistons and thunder are hitting the reset button we can throw the Js plus 5-6 picks for :

Beal, griffin , George plus Horford and smart .... might be impossible to match salaries though

Beal is probably the only one thats makes sense

there is Conley Jr. but his injuries are worrisome

If Celts can get Beal..... sign Kanter

Kanter
Tatum
Hayward
Brown
Beal

Bench
Smart

I would roll with this lineup ... could be Portlandesque

I like the idea of Beal in green, but he makes 25M per year. The logistics of trading for him are about the same as trading for Davis. Who would you give up for him?

I don't get why people want to get players who doesn't fit Red's philosophy of a franchise player. Stats are nice to look at. But do they impact winning?

Get players with high motor, high IQ and no ego regardless of their skillset. I'm sick of players who just watch opposing player burn our players on 3 pointers because of failing to recognize close outs and lazing around.

Would it even be possible to trade for Mike Conley? I wouldn't hate it, but if Kyrie left, do we even have the pieces to make it work? Could we get under the cap enough to absorb him?

Still don’t understand the man crush you guys have for Beal but if Kyrie leaves we desperately need someone who knows how to facilitate! Chris Paul comes to mind 🤔. The young fellas aren’t going to get any better unless they play with someone who knows how to facilitate the right way.

If Kyrie walks and AD goes to LAL, would anyone be interested in seeing if BOS could get in on the AD trade and take Ball since he doesn't want to go to NOP?
