Detroit does need a go to guy. 
I think Tayshaun Prince does a good job of defending two guards.

Allow Pierce to stay at the three. Give Detroit a big backcourt with all three perimeter players having good ball-handling ability, passing ability and post up games. All above average defensively too.

That trio will create quite a few mismatches. I think Detroit should keep them together.

Andrew Bogut and Josh Smith is a nice combination.

Excellent defensively, create turnovers and do a good job on the backboards.
