Baltimore offered Lamar a 5 year 250 million dollar extension last year.  That is what Lamar wanted he just wanted the whole thing fully guaranteed which Baltimore hasn't been willing to do.

NFC South will now join the 1973 AFC West as the only 2 divisions where every team has a different opening week starting QB from the prior season.

The Watson situation has really messed things up for everyone. Even with all the drama/investigations involving him, he still wound up with 230M guaranteed. How much guaranteed are you willing to give Lamar at most? He probably wants 200M guaranteed.

Reportedly he wants more than Watson got.  That has been the problem.  It isn't the total amount or annual amount, it is all about the guarantees.  Baltimore has said they aren't giving him a fully guaranteed contract, but would give him more guaranteed money than their initial offer, the problem is every single counter Lamar has had, has been fully guaranteed.  That is part of why you keep hearing reports about how it is hard to negotiate with him.  He has no agent and has basically just offered different iterations of the same thing.

The Seahawks and Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith reached agreement on a contract Monday, the team announced. Sources confirmed to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Adam Schefter that the deal is for three years and $105 million, and includes $52 million in the first year.

Ravens sent notice to the NFLPA that they placed the $32.41 million non-exclusive franchise tag on QB Lamar Jackson. He now is allowed to negotiate with other teams, but the Ravens have the right to match any offer sheet he signs signs or take two first-round picks in return for him.

Non-exclusive tag for Jackson.  Reportedly the Ravens will match just about any offer, but if a team with a top 6 pick in the draft makes an offer, the Ravens will reportedly take the 2 1st's since one of them would be that really high pick.

I think getting a young qb for lamar is the right move for them. They are definitely a tier below the chiefs and bills right now, and probably a bit worse than cinci too. Now unfortunately some of those qbs are also young, but giving a ton of guaranteed money to a guy that hasn’t been able to stay healthy doesn’t seem worth it.

If the Jets don't get Rodgers, I think they'll be ALL in on Lamar

I think he's getting traded there. As a Pats fan, oh boy. Our division is already tough and it'll be even more loaded (Rodgers, Josh Allen, Tua OR another QB if MIA upgrades)

Would be funny if Brady went to dolphins. He would be the third best qb in division tho if jets got Rodgers.

Ravens are a bit of a treadmill team.  Not sure what they should do at this point.

looks like 4 years 160 million for Jones

edit: apparently there is a potential 35 million more in incentives
