The Lakers and Jazz have discussed a deal that sends Russell Westbrook and draft compensation to Utah for Mike Conley, Malik Beasley, and Jared Vanderbilt.

That trade is a best case scenario, it offers the Lakers excellent depth and roster balance.
Conley, Beasley, and Vanderbilt are a great complement to Lebron and AD. All 3 are low USG, Conley excels in the two man game, Beasley moves well without the ball, Conley and Beasley are above average 3P shooters, and Vanderbilt is an elite perimeter defender with an elite motor.
The move takes Russ out of the equation and pushes Hachimura, Schroeder, and Pat Bev to the bench during crunch time.
Lebron and AD still have to be healthy to make it work, which is not a given, but assuming that they are, they have a good shot at coming out of the West. Itll be one of the best roster moves Pelinka has done in 5 seasons (although trading the 2 1sts mortgages their future).
