I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I’m going through lottery withdrawals. How long has it been since the Cs had no dog in the hunt?

it's kinda strange the Celtics only have 1 pick and it's in the mid second round pick. The draft has been such a big part of being a fan these past years in what i call the "Danny War Chest Era." I became so accustomed to looking forward to the draft every season, now i could care less.

Who do I want to get the number one pick? Probably the Rockets. It seems they got nothing in that Harden trade, and they just don't seem like they have much going for them. They need this kind of spark to get the fan base invested in the team again. Or Detroit. Poor Detroit.

Once the lottery order is set it'll be time to post a bunch of wonderfully bad trade proposals.

I want the Warriors to get picks 4 and 7, and then for Brad to swoop in on them for his first swindle....

Have wanted us to get Jalen Green and have a three-headed Hydra of Jays for a couple of years now, so that's what I secretly hope for.

In reality, I know we're not going to move up. I'm very interested to see a) what the Warriors do with their picks if they all convert, and b) if the Raptors keep their top-10 pick.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Who do you want to see move up?

Spurs and Kings. Maybe Minny (if top 3).

I’d also just like to mention how huge this draft is for the teams with the top 4 picks. CUNNINGHAM-MOBLEY-GREEN-SUGGS are STUDS. There’s almost always at least 1 dud in the Top 4, but I’m almost certain these 4 are going to be really good/to great for a long time.

For someone who hasn't paid a lick of attention to college basketball this season, I really appreciate this summary.

Minnesota landing in the top 3 would be interesting. The Russell and Beasily for Simmons trade that perk (among others) has proposed becomes really interesting with the pick factored in. Suggs, Anthony, Okogie, Simmons and KAT could be a fun team.

I want Rockets to get top pick; they've suffered enough this season.
