“Oh man, the kid has a tremendous upside." "When I watch him play, I think he could be an All-Star in this league. He just has to get on the right team and in the right system. When he has played, he’s helped us tremendously just because his athleticism. He can score with the best of them." - Jason Terry.

if GG doesn't get signed by Dallas could he be considered one of those "low risk, high reward" signings?

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
Gerald deserves to be at the heart of the rotation, and the go to offensive option for his team... in Europe.

Yup.  Jason Terry is not telling the truth!  What is he supposed to do, rip his teammate?

I'm thinking of a blog award:

"The Gerald Green Memorial CelticsBlog Overrated Award." To be given annually to the Celtic whose skills are grotesquely inflated beyond reason by blog posters.

Nominees?

Gerald's a good player, give the kid a break! I believe had he gone to college he would only be a Senior so he has alot of time to become possibly a all-star someday. Everybody cant be Lebron! Even Kobe didnt play significant minutes right away & when he did he was all over the place as well. Only difference is Kobe had a prime Shaq Diesel to fall back on while Gerald had Mark Blount at Center & a 20yr old Highschool PG Telfair playing in the 2 most crucial parts of the team. BIG DIFFERENCE! When he is 25-26 years old then you can make a final assessment on a player who was under developed coming in. Sometimes I believe most posters on here are blinded to our own team & when a player leaves having not delivered a championship or significant playoff accolades you guys go into auto-hate them mode.

i'm on the record for saying gerald green will be a 20 ppg scorer at least one year.i have no particular love for the guy. i don't really understand why people DISlike him so much. he has'nt been a smart player. but he has a great shot, height and atheltic ability to get it off. i don't know why people think he CAN'T have success in the league. he does'nt play for us so why does anyone still dislike the guy?

Cornbread I am exactly with you in that he will 1 day be a 20 pt. plus scorer! I hope he has the greatest success possible & exceeds in life & on the court. Why people want him to fall out of the league is beyond me! Also im hoping that Danny somehow can get him back at a very low price, because I know he was Danny's pick & he would utilize him properly as he did at the end of his last season in Boston because he would want to justify his pick. Danny knows talent & I do not for 1 second believe he made a mistake drafting Gerald at 17! His talent alone was worth top 3 but you have to have patience & develop it.

OK, it appears the namesake of the award is the first nominee, honorary of course, since he's been expunged from our roster.

Allow me to add Paddy O'Bust.

Any others?
