Poll: Where do you rank D-Wade among the top SG's of all time?

Wade played his last game at Miami last night. So here's my question: Where do you rank him among the top SG's of all time?


some other NBA legends at the SG position: Jordan, Kobe, Jerry West, Allen Iverson, Clyde Drexler, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Earl Monroe, Vince Carter, Pete Maravich, Manu Ginóbili, James Harden, Klay Thompson (to name a few). There are also guys like George Gervin, John Havlicek, T-Mac etc. who could play at the SF position as well. Feel free to rank them at whichever position you see fit.

I didn't watch his games, but I have the impression that he was just as good.

Wade is 4th probably ATM,
But he couldn't shoot from long range, so this shooting guard mold looks a bit clumsy.
I kind of see him as a PG, as a lead guard.
His size, vision, passing game, dribbling skill, and playmaking all point in this direction.

See Harden, for example, PG or an SG?
Some will say definitely SG, but the opposite case can easily be made.

Then you have wades tier which includes hinself, ray allen and reggie miller.

Wade scored more but the other 2 set nba records for shooting. Wade set records for the refs blowing their whistles relentlesslessly

I have MJ, West and Kobe ahead of Wade.

West and Wade both combo guards more than a true SG. They compare more with guys like Iverson and Dumars than MJ and Kobe.

Third. He has three rings, played well enough for two FMVPs. Far better than West defensively.

I think top 5 for sure. MJ and Kobe are clearly ahead of him, and then I believe West, AI and Clyde are on the same level as Wade, all depending on personal preference.

Gervin & Ray Allen are just a drop below.

I debated the same thing, but put them and Reggie above as they have both set NBA records, something wade never did.

If Wade has a chance to be top 3, it really just goes to show there haven't been a ton of top tier SGs all-time. MJ and even Kobe completely blow Wade out of the water. There is a huge gap after those two to the Allen, AI, Drexler, Wade, West, Miller tier.

In the other thread comparing Wade to Dirk, the majority of people have Dirk ahead of Wade, but a couple people have explained that since Wade is top 3 and Dirk is [at best] top 5 at their respective positions, it means that Wade is better. I just don't believe in that reasoning.

until I saw this thread, I didn't think he'd be in the discussion.  I see the names offered up so far and I'd take every one of them over Wade.  Would probably take at least several more over Wade that aren't mentioned here

Wade played D.  Not sure the same could necessarily be said for Ray and certainly not Reggie.

SG is probably the weakest of the 5 positions if you're putting together all time lists.
