I know Brown had some poor turnovers on off tonight, but I hope people are aware of how well that dude played on def tonight.  He made Lebron, Davis work for everything.  Just outstanding individual def from Jaylen tonight.

Sometimes I wish Brad would just unleash JT and do away with his substitution patterns, specially when the other Cs aren’t doing much. It’s frustrating when you see JT going off and then Brad sits him down for a long stretch. He had like 37 points at the end of the 3rd and ended up with just 41.

I actually thought he did abandon his substitution patterns. Usually Tatum is the first to sit in the 3rd, but he decided to sit Brown and Hayward, and left Tatum out there to do his thing for almost the entire period. He came back in around the 8 minute mark of the 4th; we just didn't have enough to make up for some ill-timed missed lay-ups and garbage calls.

I do wish Brad would use his challenges on anything but a body to body foul call though. No matter what, there is always some kind of contact down low and those calls will always be upheld in order for the officials to save face.

The problem with challenges is you could only use one. So they have to be very picky in where to use it. We picked the right challenge this game, but we couldve used some more. Also the refs clearly erred on that challenge.

Also couldn't challenge on that "inadvertent whistle call" when it was clearly a goal tend.

good game

not the refs faults

learn from this lost

Regs legit had video showing them the ball was off of Davis while he was going over the back on that missed ft, yet they still called it out on us.

I dont think you can play through3that kind if reffing. Look at that call at the end, they were prepared to take the winning shot away if needed.

It's games like this that make conspiracy theories look not all that crazy.

GREAT OBSERVATION. Even if Tatum had made the game winner THE REF had already waived it off. LOL!!! Classic.

The only good thing was that Celts almost won without Kemba

With Kemba Celts win tonight

No, the really good thing is for the 2nd time in the last few weeks Tatum faced off against 2 of the league's 10 best players and was the best player on the floor.

tough loss, it seemed like brad kept Tatum on the bench way to long to start the 4th, oh well....               on to the next...

He played almost the entire third quarter because he was scorching, which was already a deviation from the norm.  I know it's frustrating, but he does actually have to rest sometimes.

KCP acted like Tatum stabbed him in the throat. He barely touched him. That crew was awful and wasn't going to let the Celts win no matter what.

You serious??

Brown out of bounds

Anthony Davis over the back/off pinky

KCP push on Tatum

I agree with Triboy -
It wasn't just one bad call it was multiple ones.  Jaylen was not out of bounds on that save to Tatum, that was a horrible call too.

I need an adding machine to count up all the horrid calls!

It is frustrating when the bad calls seem to be overwhelmingly in favor of one team like tonight.  Somehow our guys need to play through it and just move onto the next play, but that is really hard sometimes when they are game altering calls like the Davis pinky finger one.

He just got a few minutes of rest. He ideally shouldve entered at around the 7 minute mark, but he was forced to put him in as the momentum was really swinging the other way. It wouldve been fine if Hayward and Brown were shooting well, but they werent plus we had no Kemba. He already been forced to play Tatum extended minutes in the 3rd. Normally he wouldve come out way earlier in the 3rd and comes in earlier in the fourth.

Definitely. Jaylen and Theis were huge on defense tonight. We get blown out without their D

Yeah sucks not to have Kemba pick up the slack when he has to rest. Normally, Jaylen and Hayward wouldve been enough, but they werent bringing it on offense tonight.

Anyway, tough game but they went down swinging on the road with no Kemba. Now if they could just win their next 2 esp that tough game on Utah this will be a very successful road trip.
