Looks like C's have talked to Haywoods peeps. I wouldn't offer him 5 years ,but maybe 3 or 4 with an option

At this point, I'm guessing he'll command 4/40.

I'd love to get Haywood.  He's a very good center and I love the fact that he has a whole lot left in the tank.

Might be a low estimate given the way teams have been overpaying today.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Haywood would totally be worth the full MLE for 4 years, given how the market is panning out right now.

I doubt he'll like being a backup to Perk here.

Would LOVE to see Haywood in green! For the right price of course.

My two favorite players going into the 2001 draft: Troy Murphy and Brendan Haywood...maybe after next year both will be in Green!

Might actually be better to go after Dampier *because* he's older. Haywood is 30 and could command 4 years from someone. Dampier is already 34 so I doubt anyone is going to offer more than 2-3 years.

I'd go after Dampier for 2 years if possible, let him expire with KG...

Seriously. The market is ridiculous. If Amir Johnson getting 37 million is the bar, then I guessed based off that Haywood is worth about 200 million since he's about 6 times the player Amir is.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

co-sign.  Haywood would be the best possible fit for the biggest hole on our team.

C's don't have a chance with Haywood.  If Frye got $30 million, Haywood is a lock to get $40 or $50 million.  He'll be making 10 mill a year, guaranteed.  He's not a great center but he's the best one available in this free agent market.  Somebody is going to wildly overpay for his services.

i like haywood, would like to have him or murphy. Haywood would better suited for this team in terms of covering the paint area. would be nice to get both.

i dont like Dampier, don't want him at green, especially at his age
