I hate that I'm still finding myself pulling for the Argentines to make it a game.  I guess if it got close I'd start feeling all patriotic.

I'm the same way.  Of course I dislike 3/4s of the USA roster so I don't really care.  One thing I've noticed though is Howard and Melo both have short tempers.  I look for Spain to really go after them and try and get T's picked up on them.  USA is lucky Argentina isn't healthy.

How come when I went on NBA.com it says that the game is in the 3rd quarter but when I watch on my TV it's only in the 2nd quarter?

They're both wrong, it's in the 4th.

Is it because I don't live in the east coast? I don't get it.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

USA is lucky Argentina isn't healthy.

Yeps, it would have been a close game with Ginobili and Noc playing. Scola is a beast.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!

At least the good guys one, we are complaining about a 20 point blowout.

USA did look very poor against the zone, just like in Athens. The most frustrating thing is they are choosing to look bad against the zone by standing back and chucking threes, you are allowed to attack the basket when a team plays zone. The lanes may be smaller and quicker to collapse, but a team the caliber of the USA should be able to drive on anyone.

As long as they play their level of defense, no one can compete. They are at their best when their offense comes from their defense, just like the Celtics.

Had Ginobili been in there I do not think the game would have been any closer, they would have relied to much on him, and the bench effort never would have been there. Besides this is Manu Ginobili, who if he was born in the USA, would not be able to make the redeem team. Same thing for Nocioni to a greater degree, both are very good players, but not elite players.

I agree, Scola was impressive.
Nice to see that Argentina could
play without Ginobili.
I agree with Celtic, I think they
would have relied way too much
on him.

Does anyone else really not like
Carmelo Anthony? I mean, besides me...
Denver Thugget, indeed.

That being said, I hope Team USA crushes
Spain in the final. I'm hoping for a
50-point win  ;D
