Red Sox got their first run of the postseason.  Let's hope it isnt the last...

Really hope and pray we don't go down by two games here, but they've gained the momentum.

The Twins still got robbed there...they should've had 1, maybe 2 runs before Teixeira hit that dinger. And ump 5 feet away blew that call.

Well thats the game...and probably the series.

Let's face it, unless your starting pitching are throwing perfect games which is not by any means what Lester and Beckett have done, you won't win with how ice cold our bats are.

It's pathetic.

I understand the bats have been god awful, like the worst I've seen in awhile, but lets not forget about the starting pitching.  Lester, Beckett, AND Bucholz all pitched very mediocre in their final few starts before the playoffs.  Looks like it was an unfortunate sign of things to come.

But hey brightside, the Angels I feel have a better chance at the Yanks then we did anyway.

Yeah ... I'm afraid you're right, unfortunately ... three great arms who just didn't throw the way they're capable of. These are guys who get paid to come through in these situations, but they did not. Hey, everyone has bad days, it just so happened that they had those bad days at the worst time. Ugh! This is painful! (TP)

In my baseball career, I never took a 3rd strike. It's the biggest scaredy cat (I wish you could swear here for this word) thing you can do in the batter's box.

Funny you say that ... that was my high school coach's pet peeve, and he HATED it if anyone didn't swing on a full count!

Now I'm really depressed ... what a sad start to a post-season. Shame.

I was worried going into the playoffs by the Red Sox' lack of consistent offensive production.  We just don't have the big boppers like the Yankees, and we seem to go into team slumps frequently.

I also think starting Bucholtz game 3 is a huge mistake, as he has been abysmal his last two starts, while Dice K has been quite decent his last 3 starts.  PLus Dice K has shown to come through in big moments, both with the Red Sox and with the international Japanese team.  I just don't get what Francona is thinking here.
